Zoya's pov.
My heart lurched in my throat as the voice sounded right behind me. Something poked the back of my head as froze on my place.
"Turn around" the person gritted in their deep terrifying voice. I chewed on my lip as panic aroused in my veins.
"I said turn around!" The person yelled making me flinch inwardly. The person grabbed my left elbow and tried turning me around as turned right and slammed my elbow in the person's face.
The man grunted as I quickly turned around and kicked tht man in his stomach on instinct. He fell backwards clutching his abdomen, his gun fallen on the ground.
My breath shallowed as I without a single thought kicked it in the ditch near us. He yelled alerting the men on the terrace. I cursed inwardly as more men emerged from around the corner and the previous two from the stair case.
Tears of hopelessness filled my eyes but I couldn't just let it go. Not when I had all the information on me. Never. I picked up my speed and ran blindly.
"Stop!"
"Shoot her!"
People yelled behind me as I turned around and shot one of them making him fall two other men come to his aid but still three men ran towards me. I shot but they dodged it. Spotting my bike in the bushes I ran behind a giant tree once the pathway started getting dense making it easier for them to loose track of me.
"Ya Allah help my please. I can't die right now. Not before giving advocate Merzia the proof" I prayed throwing a one of my shoes in the opposite direction. I held my breath as they slowed down near the tree.
"You check there and I'll go forward" one of them spoke. Two of the bulky guys went in the direction where I threw my shoe as I rounded the tree hiding while the other went straight.
"She went this way. Her shoe is here" someone yelled making me halt in my place. The man from before ran in that direction and the rest joined them.
I sighed in relief as I walked out thinking I was finally free but I thought too soon.
"Not so fast little fox." A voice made me jump in my skin. I turned around to come face to face with the man who I left behind. I gulped as the large man infront of me stalked towards me.
His blue eyes scrutinized me, he was tall, with dark hair, he had a face mask on, I couldn't recognize him exactly. He walked towards me slowly. His jaw clentched as he rubbed his masked face where I had hit him.
"What were you doing here little fox?" He asked backing me up against the tree. My breathing picked up as his hand reached up to the scarf that was tied around my face.
"N... Nothing" I said pushing his hand away. I tried running but he grabbed my elbow slamming me back into the tree, placed his hand on the trunk stopping me.
"Really? Then why where you about to shoot my men?" He said. His voice deep and husky, his dark Cobalt eyes made me weak to my knees not in a good way.
His men?
"I.. I wasn't" what am I even saying. I tried shoving myself more into the tree wishing for it to open and hide me inside.
I couldn't think of anything all I could focus on was this man who looked no older then Einstein and very intimidating. He started leaning closer. I turned to my left trying to run but I failed again. I tried ducking under it but he grabbed my waist and pulled me to himself.
"Who are you little fox?" He asked. What's with this man calling me a fox. Clearly I haven't done anything clever.
"No one" I said trying to kick him where the sun doesn't shine but he knew better.
