"What do you mean you have no idea where she is?" I can't believe they can be this irresponsible.
"She wanted to leave and she left. It isn't like she asked for our permission" Khalid Chacho said with a scoff to his words which made my pulse go wild even more than it was.
I ran my eyes around the room and each one of them refused to meet my eyes, that's up with them. Even Muznah chachi was mum standing in a corner. What the hell happened?
The adrenaline was shaking my body but I could barely move from my sitting position.
"I can't believe it, you all couldn't keep her at home till I atleast gained consciousness." I pushed my hair out of my view, this is ridiculous. That woman's already is a big emotional fool and these people are acting like children holding grudges against each other.
"Zahan—"
"I was unconscious not dead!" I yelled making the women before me flinch back and I saw Ammi letting out a chocked sob from my periferal vision.
"Stop it Zahan!" A familiar voice yelled pushing me back to original state of sitting on my bed as I made en effort to move. Baba just couldn't understand the situation.
"Why can't you—"
"Shut up!" He roared again making me flinch internally.
"If she didn't bother thinking about you once before she left then stop worrying about her." He yelled making me shake my head and throw the pillow off the bed. It's not like I could do anything else.
"Call us when you stop acting like a toddler" he said before taking everyone out with him. I had never seen him like this... This hysteric. Something's going on. They're hiding something.
"Zahan" Ammi whispered making me turn my head towards. She had tears in her eyes as she placed a hand on my cheek.
"Why didn't you stop her Ammi? She was your daughter" my throat felt clogged and I found myself at the brink of tears.
"I tried. For your sake. For my sake and for Yasir's sake. Trust me Zahan, but she said she couldn't do this any longer. I tried my best to stop her but she had made up her mine beta." She whispered in the quite of the night making me let the dam break and hug her.
"She's not okay Ammi. She can't be on her own right now. Not when I don't know where she is. How will I protect her? How will I atleast keep an eye on her when I know there's someone waiting for this moment" I sobbed and her arms tightened around me, her ragged breathing reached my ears as my eyes started dropping. The painkillers finally kicking in as I moved back from Ammi.
