Zahan's pov

"I just wanted to talk to you about something" I said laying on her bed. The mattress was soft and plushy making me dip in it. I stared at the white ceiling seeing the fan rotate in circular motion.

"Don't tell me you murdered someone!" She gasped dramatically, making me tilt my head back to see her sitting on the swing chair I failed to notice. Her legs pulled up as she gaped at me horrified.

"Don't talk nonsense. I just wanted to ask you who is she?" I asked to see her get down from the swing and sit in front of me on the bed.

"Who?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. Her hair fell on her face framing it while her long black ponytail sat on her right shoulder. The hoodie from last night was adorned by her with a pair of silk blue pants.

"The girl Ammi's after for me?" I asked. It's been a while Ammi has been after me to get settled with the girl she has chosen for me. I don't know her nor does she let me know who she is. She just says that she has someone in mind and she'll make her her daughter in law. Since I've refused marriage so much she has decided she'll find someone and not tell me till the point I can't say no anymore.

"Um... I don't know what you're talking about. She didn't discuss anything with me" she said with confusion marking her face. The frown turned into a pout as she mindlessly pulled a pillow in her lap. I plopped onto my elbow, eyeing her zoned out self. Her cheeks are a little red and eyes look tired. Her glasses slid down her nose to its tip, I resisted the urge to push them back along with the bothering strands of her hair that fell on her face. I came out of holy thoughts by snapping her fingers in front of my face.

"Hello.... Are you even listening? So as I was saying, what's the problem? Get married. Have fun and get yourself another wife" she said jumping on the bed excitedly. Her face beamed with sheer excitement.

"Another wife?" I asked, raising my eyebrow. She really likes to make these jokes. God help her with some brains.

"You're no less than a wife sir. You have too many tantrums. I mean. Einstein the great doesn't have time for anyone else but here he is dreaming of the girl his mother has chosen for him. Is this how real life romance starts?" She sighed dreamily, making me scoff and roll my eyes. I slapped her head making her glare at me.

"If you know her then tell me." I said taking the sketch book that laid on the bed.

"Well I don't know her. Tayi Ammi has a lot of things to share with me. But why do you want me to ask her then tell you. She's your mom, you're old enough and I guess courageous enough also" she said, dragging the ending. I surfed through the book fascinated by the drawing and paintings in it. They were really beautiful, and I was unable to believe she made them. One painting caught my attention. It was a painting of a broken and abandoned building more like a castle. The fine details looked too good to be a painting. It looked exquisite but haunting at the same time .

"You think I haven't tried. I asked but she didn't budge and since you're annoying enough to pull the truth out of someone's throat so I think Ammi will give up and tell you" I said looking up at her to see her glaring at me. She rolled her eyes and snatched the sketch book out of my hold, making me pull it back as I wasn't done with it. She pulled it back, making me pull it full force to myself. I might've used a little too much force making her come forward with the book and on top of me, her face was inches away from mine making her warm breath fan my lips igniting the flames of desire to spark within me.

Her green eyes were wide like saucers as she stared at me. Her hair fell to the side covering the side of our faces, the few rouge strands tickled my face making me twirl it around my finger. Her breath fanned my face as she supported herself up on her hands. My gaze settled on her lips which were parted, she licked her lips making me snap my desirous eyes to hers, the green looked so calming and beautiful making me want to drown in them. Her eyes flicked from mine to her sketchbook as red tinged her face making her appear more appealing to my eyes. Her signature scent made me lose my senses. Her closeness made warmth surround me. The moment was short lived as she pulled me out of my thoughts.
