With the sun shining mercilessly on the hilly valley of swat people stayed inside the safety of their homes, mostly. A few running here and there from time to time to get things done and the others worshipped the Almighty with all they got.
The white haveli made with finest of sang e mar mar glistened under the rays of the sun. The time for it to set was still far away and the fury of it's heat wasn't anywhere dropping.
The gardener watered the plants and went on about his business as a frantic body came rushing in.
"Haye..." A certain young man sighed falling back on the couch dramatically. His chest heaved up and down as he fanned himself.
He let himself fall on the sofa and laid his head in his older brother's lap who shook his head at his antics but didn't say anything.
"Kia gazab ka roza lag raha hai is waqt. Sheesh" he drawled making Zahan roll his eyes while still reciting the Quran.
(I feel the hunger kicking in.)
"Hamza roza rakh ke tu drame kam karo" his brother Ayan shook his head while he too waited for the hour to come. (Hamza atleast be less dramatic while fasting)
"Bhabi kahan hain?" He asked smirking. (Where's sister-in-law?)
"Erum bhabi apne room me hain kion kia hua?" Ayan asked scrolling through his phone. (Erum is in her room why?)
"Woh waali nahi. Meri bhabi." He asked making Zahan cast him a curious glance before going back to his previous recitation. He didn't say anything and ran his fingers through his brothers hair who sighed and made himself comfortable at his place. (Not her. My sister-in-law)
Ayan raised his eyebrows in confusion and Hamza pursed his lips in annoyance.
"Zoya kahan hai?" He asked and Ayan nodded. (Where is Zoya?)
"I don't know, why?" Ayan asked.
"There was this man on the door, he asked me to give that box to her" he said pointing towards the box that laid on the floor near his feet.
