Behind the Camera

Chapter Three

I wake up, like every other day, to the sound of the alarm blaring. Today's the last day we're filming the pilot, and then we go back home.

Erana and I get ready and hop into the daily Uber. "Are you guys excited to go back home?" Sarah says to Erana and I and we both nod. Erana decided to take the lead into that conversation as I stared out the window.

You know if you were to ask me three weeks ago if I wanted to go home I wouldn't have even questioned it. But now it's like I don't want to leave. Although days can be tiring and boring, I found my person. My best friend sitting beside me. The amount of nights we've stayed up way too late laughing at the most random things.. The personal stories we've shared with one another.. The personal objects we've shared (aka piglet).. I'm just dreading being so far from her.

The last scene was filmed and before I knew it we were back at the hotel I seemed to feel at home in. Erana was taking off her set makeup and I was packing up my things. We leave first thing in the morning tomorrow.

"I'm gonna miss you so much," I say and walk into the bathroom sitting on the toilet watching as she cleans herself up for bed.

"You know I'm gonna miss you a lot too. Ask me about everyone else, I'd say I can go for a few months break" She says causing me to laugh.

"You're like my best friend," I say emphasizing the end. "You're my best friend too," She says and taps my nose as her toothbrush hung out of her mouth.

Out of no where knocking was heard on the door. I get up to open it and when I do I see Sarah on the other side.

"We are crashing the party.. Well no, we're bring you the party," She says and I look over to see the cast with packs of alcohol in their hands. I smile and let them in excitedly.

"Damn if I knew we were having a hotel party I wouldn't have taken off my makeup," Erana says and I smile over at her and hand her a beer she gladly takes.

A few hours go buy and a lot of drinks were consumed. Not only by me but by everyone of the girls.

"Do you guys care if I sleep in here tonightttt," Sophia says and Erana agrees to letting her stay but only on the bed furthest from the window.

Erana goes into the bathroom with Jenna and comes out laughing up a storm. My curiosity was piercing.

Although after five maybe six or even seven drinks.. I lost count.. I still have the sense of caution when near Erana.

"Mia I dare you to show us your titties," Sophia says and I smirk. I may be insecure when I'm sober but drunk me.. God I could be a model.

I look to Erana for some reason before reaching down and lifting up my tank top. I shake my chest and everyone cheers me on and some even lifted their shirts downing the alcohol like water. For some reason, when I looked at her she was looking away almost upset. Maybe she wasn't.. She just probably didn't want to see my boobs which honestly, bummer..

"Ooooooo" Sophia says and jumps onto the bed I'm on and starts taking a video of herself saying god knows what. I could barely understand her better yet hold a normal conversation.

"Guys this is my besttt friend Mia" She says and I see her phone recording her holding me close against her chest. I felt pure bliss in that moment. I was genuinely happy to be around these people.

I look up at her and out of no where she kisses me and me being me I kiss back. She pulls away and falls on her back laughing as she stared at her phone. I look to Erana and she definitely looked pissed.

"Guys I think we need to get up super early tomorrow," Jenna says and everyone laughs and continue to talk but I zoned them out. "I gotta pee," I hear Erana say to whoever and out of pure temptation I follow her into the bathroom. She turns to shut the door but she sees me and looks away.
