Chapter 37: Comeback

5 Years Later

"Let's continue tomorrow," the modeling manager said.

"Thank goodness," Suzette whisper. She stretches her hands upward.

"You seem very tired."

She was quite a bit surprised by that whisper on her ear. She then smiled when she saw Cd.

"You're here," she said. All her co-models are looking at them with a teasing look.

"Ladies, do you mind if I take my wife?" Cd asked. All of them nodded and smiled, teasingly. Some are giggled.

They both leave the gym while holding each other's hand.

"Babe, can you put this on my collar?" Moss asked while holding a necktie. Clari takes it from him and put it on his collar.

"There," Clari said. She smiled while looking at him. "What dish do you want for lunch?" she asked.

"Anything from you, babe. Anyway, tomorrow we're gonna plan our wedding, okay?"

Clari's cheek flushed because of what her fiance said. "Okay. I'll take a leave for tomorrow," she replied.

"Good to hear, then." Moss get his case. "I'm going now. I love you." Moss kisses her on her cheek.

"I love you, too. Take care, okay?"

"I will, babe."

After 5 years. Xy finally recovered for her disorder. When the psychiatrist said that it is rare to cure a person who has a multiple disorder, but she doesn't lose any single hope until she freed herself from that nightmare sickness.

Grave didn't leave her side. He was always there when Xy needed him. They fight her sickness together. But, Xy is still guilty to what happened to her close friend. She feels that it was her responsible for her friend's loss and she keeps blaming herself for that.

"Bonsai! Smile..." mahabang sabi ni Grave habang nakatapat kay Xy 'yong camera.

"Itigil mo nga 'yan! Isa," Xy warned him.

"Nope. Nakasimangot ka na naman kasi, eh. Mukha kang bangkay na naagnas na," pang-aasar ni Grave sa kaniya. Sininghalan lang siya ni Xy.

They are on the beach sitting on the white sand under the coconut tree. "I wonder what she's doing right now," mahinang sabi ni Xy habang seryosong nakatingin sa dagat. "Is she fine?" she continues.

"I know she's fine and there's still hope that she's alive. Come here," niyakap siya ni Grave. "Don't worry. She's a tough woman and we'll see her again, okay?"

"Okay." At niyakap siya pabalik ni Xy.

"Meeting adjourned."

All the staffs and stockholders are leaving the room after the conference.

"Sir, is there something wrong with their...uh...presentation?" the secretary asks. She saw the seriousness of her boss' face.

He didn't reply. He just stood up and leave the room without saying anything. The secretary just shrugs and picks all the files on the table.

When Fauze went to his office, he looses his necktie and unbuttoned his sleeves 'til it reaches three buttons.

He darted his eyes on the door when someone knocks twice.

"Come in," he said, coldly.

"Yow, boss." It's Grey wearing his playful smile.
