Chapter 30: Mutual Feelings

TRIST

"Whre'd you get this phone?" tanong ko kay Riz. Nakaupo na kami ngayon sa sofa and he's sitting across to me.

"Nadampot ko," sagot niya. Nagtataka ko siyang tinignan.

Sino namang magtatapon ng ganitong bagay na naglalaman ng delikado at brutal na impormasyon?

"I didn't pick it just like that. There was a story behind it," dugtong niya nang makita ang ekpresiyon ko.

"Then start narrating," sabi ko.

Umiwas siya ng tingin sa 'kin na parang nahihiya. Nakatopless pa rin siya.

Wala ba 'tong balak na magsuot ng damit? Nakaaasiwa kaya. Kung si Fauze ayos lang dahil parang binomba 'yong tiyan non sa laki. Psh.

"I... Uh... Earlier I was...stalking you," mahina niyang sabi.

Unti-unting lumaki ang mga mata ko. "What?!" gulat kong sabi.

Tumingin siya sa 'kin. "I... I'm not a creepy stalker, Belle. I just, uh," he stuttered.

"Stop stuttering! Why the hell were you stalking me?!" inis kong sabi.

He sighs. "I want to give you something in person and we have no time talking alone—"

"We surely don't have time to talk alone because we have no businesses talking to each other anymore," putol ko sa kaniya. Naiinis ako. Peste. Nakita kong nasaktan siya sa sinabi ko. "Just cut the crap and tell me how'd you get this," sabi ko habang itinaas 'yong telepono.

Bumuntong-hininga ulit siya. Nagsimula na siyang magkuwento at nakinig lang ako.

Flashback

3rd Person

Rizwan is just following Trist wherever she goes. He saw her went to grocery store, so he follows her.

He keeps his distance from her for not to be noticed. When she's about to go out, he wants to approcah her, but an accident happened. He bumped into someone. The person he bumped fell on the floor.

That person wears a full black outfit, from cap to sneakers. Nakasuot rin ito ng black face mask.

"I'm sorry. Are you okay?" Riz asked and offered his hand to help that person to get up, but that person refused to accept his help—tumayo siya mag-isa.

Bahagyang nanlaki ang mga mata ng taong nabangga ni Riz nang makita niya ito, but she recovered.

'Good thing I wore a mask.' That person said on the back of her head.

"It's okay," she said trying to sound like a guy. She hurriedly left without turning back.

Nagtaka si Riz sa inasta nito dahil nahalata niyang nagboses lalaki siya, eh nakita niyang mahaba ang buhok ng taong nabangga niya.

He's about to leave, but he saw something that piqued his interest. He saw an old phone on the floor. Lumingon siya sa daang tinahak ng taong nabangga niya kanina, ngunit wala na siya ro'n.
