Chapter 36

Michelle's P.O.V

"It's really crowded. So I'm just going to park the car here and walk to it." Robert says once we reach there.

It was almost half an hour drive. And it was spent laughing and listening to music since silence is not comforting when it comes to being with him.

But with Josh silence is the loudest whisper if that makes any sense.

"Yeah, it's better to just walk there." I agree looking at the crowded street.

I close the window and leave the car once he parks it and regret not bringing my jacket with me. If my mom was here with me she would have insisted on taking me back home to bring my jacket but she's not here right now. No matter how ridiculous this sounds but she is really stubborn when it comes to someone's health.

"Come on." Robert says smiling locking the car. We both start walking through the crowded streets of cheerful people and he greets a few unfamiliar faces on our way.

I try to look around for Chloe but she is nowhere to be found and it's almost impossible to find her in this crowd.

"It's your first time here so let's make sure you have fun." Robert says giving me a small smile of his. "I hope so." I tell him looking at the ground knowing that if he's with Sasha right now this will only be a disaster.

"There are your friends." Robert says and I look up to see Chloe rushing to us. "Hey." She says greeting Robert. "Hey. How long have you been here?" He says trying to start a conversation.

I look around for Josh just to see him with her and it hurts too much to even notice that Zack is staring at me. But I don't care to look away from them no matter who notices. It hurts too much to even hide it or to pretend that it doesn't.

"Michelle... Michelle?" I hear Chloe's voice and I turn to face her and Robert. "Is everything okay?" Chloe asks eyeing me carefully and Robert immediately looks at them knowing exactly what's wrong.

"Yes." I just tell her and beg that Robert takes me away from here. "Hey Michelle." I hear someone's voice coming from behind and I turn to see Zack. "Yeah?" I ask him not bothering to be gentle.

"Let me show you around." He says giving me a comforting smile. "Okay." I say nodding in agreement and we both start walking away from them hoping Robert wouldn't mind leaving him with Chloe.

We walk past a group of girls who start whispering and giggling knowing this is because Zack is next to me.

I'm not surprised neither bothered. He is really good looking despite his tattoos and piercings. "Are you okay?" He asks stopping after a few minutes of walking.

"Yes." I lie looking everywhere but at him. "Are you sure? I saw the way you were looking at him back there." He asks looking me in the eye. "I'm not, neither close to it." I tell him knowing this is my entire fault somehow. If I accepted the fact that he kissed her and sucked it in this wouldn't be happening right now. But I can't and I won't just accept the pain and live with it on a daily basis because of his ego.

"I need him but I wish it was simple. He is too selfish and stubborn and it's unbelievably painful." I continue looking at the ground. "He..." He starts but immediately pauses once he looks behind me.

I turn around and see random people just walking us by. "Is everything okay?" I ask him raising my eyebrows and by the look on his face I know it's not.

"No. You are staying with me tonight." He weirdly says grabbing my hand and starts walking back to where we left them.

"Come on." He says making sure that I'm following him. "Zack tell me, what is it?" I ask him once we reach to where we left them.
