Michelle's P.O.V

He parks the car in front of my house after a silent ride which wasn't long at all since my house is close to Chloe's. "We're here." He says looking at me once he stops the car. "Okay." I nod wanting to spend more time with him.

"Where is the medicine that I got you?" He asks frowning. I forgot it at Chloe's." I answer him. "I will get it for you." He tells me. "She'll just bring it with her tomorrow; one night wouldn't make any difference." I say looking at him. "Let me see your hand." He says taking my arm gently and lifting the sleeve up and I don't stop him. "It looks really bad." He says still looking at it and he's right, it does look much worse than before. "I know but I'm fine. It's numb." I say covering my arm back. "Okay." He gives in and I'm glad he did since I got used to seeing my arm like this.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Josh." I say opening the car's door. "Stay... or just call me if you need me." He softly says. "Yeah okay." I say nodding and leave his car.

He watches me as I get inside the house safely and I'm glad my mother isn't waiting for me, she's probably out since it's only eight now.

I put on my pajama, brush my teeth and cuddle in my bed. Once I close my eyes the flashback starts "I'm not strong enough to let you go." He said lifting my chin up.

And I go to sleep to the sound of those words playing in my mind.

"Michelle?" I hear my mom's voice calling and it wakes me up. Once I open my eyes I realize it's still dark outside. "Yeah?" I call back.

"Did I wake you?" She says entering my room. "It's fine." I assure her sitting. "I didn't know you came back I thought you were going to stay there until I pick you up." She tells me. "Oh no, a friend of mine dropped me home. I was exhausted." I lie to her wondering why I've never told her about Josh. "Okay. Good night." She says placing a kiss on my cheek and leaves.

I check my phone to see what time it is but instead I find two new messages; one from Chloe and the other from an unsaved number.

I read Chloe's message first and it says that I forgot the medicine at her house. Then I open the second message.

Still awake? I'm Josh. It says and I look at the time to find that it's one in the morning; he texted me almost an hour ago.

Now yeah. I text him back.

Why did you wake up? Is everything okay? He texts me back only a few seconds after.

Yeah everything is fine.:)

Okay. I just wanted to make sure you're okay. I read the message

Don't worry. I text him back.

Good. :) The message says.

What are you doing? I send it to him.

Nothing. Can't sleep. He texts me.

Why not? Is everything okay with you? I ask him.

Just worried about you... I don't want you to get hurt because of me. And you know this will never end. I read what the message says and I could feel my heartbeat fastening now. I don't want to go through this again. Not now, not ever.

I'm in it with you. It wasn't my choice to love you but it is mine to stay with you even with all your flaws. I text him back meaning every word.

Promise me one thing. He sends me.

Yeah? I text.

No matter what happens don't give up on me. He says.

Even if you push me away? I send back

Even. He sends

I promise you. I text him back.

I'll let you get some sleep now... I love you. He says.

I love you more. I type and send it to him.

No, I love you more. He texts back and I smile at the I love you more fights.
