-Caleb's POV-

"Hey, Sarah, what's up?" I lean against the locker next to her's. She freezes and looks at me with a look of annoyance clear on her beautiful face.

"Caleb," she says rudely. "Leave me alone. I don't want to see you."

"Babe-" I start but she cuts me off.

"Don't call me that! I am NOT your babe!"

"Sarah, please hear me out! Please listen to what I have to say!" I plead with her.

"To what you have to say?! What is there to say? 'Oh, yeah, I cheated on you, but now I want you back'? I don't want to hear it." She slams her locker shut and starts to walk away. I notice the sway in her hips that she has when she walks, and I'm in awe for a few moments before I snap myself out of the haze.

"No, Sarah, please!"

She turns back at me and says, now angry, "Just leave me alone!"

A curious crowd turns their attention to us, and towards the back is Bea. She's standing with one of her friends. I think his name is Al, I'm not sure though. I honestly would rather she be with someone like him than Tobias. I mean, that guy has problems. Like, he blamed his injuries on Marcus! His own father! Sheesh! Marcus is a great guy, and I feel bad for being mistreated like that by his own son. Bea can do so much better than being with him. Al looks like a nice guy, he's talked to me before. He said I was really cool, and smart too, and that it would be cool for us to hang out. Just from our conversation, he likes a lot of the same stuff I do.

"Tell me you don't want to see me anymore, and I'll leave you alone. I promise." I say calmly.

Sarah pauses, contemplating what she wants. I know she's not one of those dramatic girls that always want attention, so she'll make the right choice, either it's staying or leaving, it'll be right for her.

I'll think about it, okay?" She finally says.

"Sure." I say with a reassuring smile.

-Time lapse-

I scan my eyes around the lunch room in search for Bea. She's sitting with her weird friends at the stands. I walk over to them and tap her shoulder.

"Yeah?" She asks, turning around to face me.

"Is this your brother?" A girl with short hair asks me. "What a nerd."

One of the boys, that I recognize as Will, suppresses laughter. "Aw, come on, Lynny Wynny. Be nice to the guy. You're probably the first girl to ever talk to him."

Some other people let out burbles of laughter and I frown. "Guys, leave him alone. He's not that helpless." Bea says. She stands up and I lead her out the door to the hallway.

"Help me with Sarah!" I say and she groans.

"Why? It's not like you help me with anything!" She complains.

"I'll do your Geometry homework for a week." Bea started basketball and she's been busy with practices and games, and Tobias, so she's been having to stay up really late to finish all her homework. She get's a lot of Geometry homework, and that takes a long time to do.

Bea sighs. "Fine. She is in my Chemistry class next period, I'll talk to her then."

"Thank you, Bea!" I hug her, lifting her up off the ground an inch or two. I'm not very strong, so thank goodness she's light. "I wove you!" I say teasingly.

"I love you too, now let go of me." She orders. I comply and set her down. "I'm going back to my friends. Bye now!" Bea waves and walks away.

Smiling, I walk back to the lunch room to sit with my friends.

"Dude!" Mickey says excitedly. "Come take a look at this!" He frantically waves me over to the table.

"Um... Where are your glasses?" Jonathan says, dramatically pushing his up above the bridge of his nose.

"Oh! Uh, I was cleaning them!" I grabbed them and put them back on. I actually don't need them, I just wear them for effect. I got clear lenses with no prescription.

"Okay, does it seem realistic that..." Mickey starts talking scientifically about Pokemon, while I zone out. I'm too busy thinking about Sarah.

"Like, where does Pikachu-"

"I get it." I cut him off. I just want him to shut up.

"Mick," Jonathan says. "I think Caleb just wants you to be quiet... So he can daydream about Sarah!" Him and Mickey start shouting and laughing loudly.

"Whatever." I say as I get up. Grabbing my backpack, I start walking to the door.

"Hey, Caleb!" Al calls out to me. I stop and wait for him to catch up. I wonder why he isn't with his group of friends. Bea looks over at us questioningly. I shrug and walk to my locker with Al following.

"So, uh, what are you doing?" I ask him.

"I dunno. I'm just bored." He answers. Bored? How can he be bored when he's with his friends?

"Okay." I say awkwardly.

"I was also wondering..." He starts. "I, um, I really like your sister." Oh, so that's what this is about.

I turn around slowly. I cross my arms and look at him with a look of accusation clear on my face. "So that's why you've been hanging out with me. To get close to me so you can get close to Bea?"

He rubs the back of his neck. "Yeah, kinda. But I don't want to ask her out if you don't like me!"

"Ask her out? You know she has a boyfriend right?"

"Yeah, but... I can be so much better for her than him! He's a jerk!"

"I know that, but I'm not going to 'give you permission' or whatever it is you want. If I did, Bea would get super mad at me. Trust me, I already tried talking to her about Four. She slapped me after and she can slap hard." I say, turning most of my attention back to my locker.

"Come on, please! Maybe I can get her to like me!" Al pleads.

"Your groveling makes me feel bad for you." I say plainly.

"How does it make you feel bad for me?"

"Because you keep pestering me to let you flirt with a girl, my sister, who already has a boyfriend instead of just getting a single girl."

"What would you do if I just flirted with her anyway?"

"Nothing. But it's not my problem if she or Four kills you." I say. I close my locker just as the bell rings.
