The winner of the New Character Contest is...

@slushie260
With they're character of... You'll find out. BUT, when the identity of the third person comes, that character was from Slushie. Sooo, you should check them out. I read part of their fanfic called Music Dreams and it's good.

Anywayz, to the chapter!

It's been two days since they first found Tobias. He hasn't woke up yet, though. The doctors are worried about it. He got hit in the head multiple times, and they said that if he doesn't wake up in the next few days, then he's in a coma.

What if he doesn't wake up?

I sit in the chair next to his hospital bed. I watch Tobias (in a non-creepy way) and try to stay awake. I haven't left the hospital, nor slept ever since I got here. I want to make sure I'm there when he wakes up. But soon enough I get too tired, and I fall asleep.

"Miss Prior?"

I groan, reusing to wake up.

"Miss Prior, it's important. It has to do with Tobias."

I immediately wake open my eyes and look at the nurse.  "Huh?"

"It's about Tobias."

"I'm listening."

"He... Mr Eaton... died."

I suck in a breath. What? No. That can't be true.

"W-What?" I choke out.

"Mr Eaton died in his coma. Matthew was in his room when he heard the beep. He checked the monitor and there was no pulse."

A deep pressure grows in my chest and my throat tightens and I start to gag. The world dips and sways and my head hurts. Tobias... Dead? I- I can't even... I hold my head in attempt to stop the pounding. Only one clear thought emerges in my clouded head. I need to see Tobias.

I dart past the nurse, out the room and to Tobias's. I run around the halls, and try to remember his room number.

What was it again... It was on the second floor... Staircase! I need that... What was the room number... It had a zero... Five? Six? No... Seven? Eight? Still no... Nine?... Ten! It was ten!

I throw open the door to room 210 and lock it closed. I look on the bed, but no one is there.

"What?" I ask myself.

"We disposed of his body already." Matthew says. Matthew? Where did he come from? I turn and look around the room to see him standing behind me, along with the nurse. "You'll have to leave now."

"'Disposed of his body'? What does that mean?" I ask. Matthew opens the door and walks out, gesturing for me to follow.

He leads me to the wall at the end of the hallway. He stops in front of a big, square door int the wall. I open the door, and see that it's a chute. I look down at the chute to see a giant pile of dead, rotting bodies.

On top of the pile is Tobias.

The urge to gag is back, and I immediately slam the chute door shut. I turn back to Matthew with a look of disgust clear on my face.

"H-How could you do that? T-To people?"

"Oh, Beatrice. Their not people anymore."

"WHAT? Yes they are!" I scream at him.

Matthew laughs menacingly. He snaps his fingers, and the chute door bursts open. I look and see a rotted-flesh Tobias with glowing bright blue eyes (picture the Call of Duty zombies). He makes a zombie snarl at me and climbs out of the chute. I look over at Matthew and see that he has rotted skin and blue eyes as well.

I scream as Tobias runs at me. I sprint down the now deserted hallways, sliding on the polished floor at the corners and Tobias chases after me. I turn a corner and slide so much I fall. Tobias smashes me against the floor. He grabs me and just as he's about to sink his teeth into my stomache, I hear someone yelling my name.

"Miss Prior!" The nurse says loudly in my face. I lift my head and wipe the sleep out of my eyes.

"Huh?" I ask. What happened to the... people?

"Miss Prior, you fell asleep. I was asked to come and get you... An officer is here to see you. Would you like to see them? Or should I ask them to come again later?"

"Oh. Oh, yeah, I'll see them now." I say, realizing what happened. I take a quick glance around the room. The familiar beeping of the hospital machines fills my ears once again.

"Follow me then," she says as she walks out the door, beckoning for me to follow.

We make our way to the waiting room, and I see Johanna sitting in one of the worn-out chairs. She sees me and gets up.

"Can you leave?" Johanna asks- more like orders- the nurse. The nurse just nods and walks back to Tobias's room.

I look up at Johanna and she clears her throat. "Hello, Beatrice. Good to see your well... kinda well... Erm. Anyway, I thought you would like to know that we found out who the missing third person is. I had a group of officers interrogate the two persons caught, and one of them finally coughed up who the third was."

"Who were they?" I ask.

"The two caught at the warehouse with Mr Eaton were under the names of Marcus and Peter. Marcus, as you said was Tobias's father, has been living as an unregistered Chicago citizen, due to his past... Incidents. Peter however... He was the one who told us the identity of the third person, but that was it. Hasn't even told us his last name. The third person is under the name of Sasha."

Sasha? I don't know any Sashas. Does Tobias?

"We are on the search for her now, but haven't found anything. She can't be that far from the warehouse. Do you know any Sashsas? Or do you know it Mr Eaton does?"

"No, I don't. Tobias might,  but I'm not sure."

"Hm. Well, that's all I had to say. I wish the best for you and Tobias."

I give a weak smile and a half-wave. "Goodbye."

"Goodbye, Beatrice."

I turn around once she leaves and plop down in one of the waiting room chairs. They're really uncomfortable. All worn-out and the cushioning is practically gone, due to all the people who have sat on it.

Sighing, I put my elbows on my knees and my head in my hands. It's been stressful here. All the commotion of the hospital workers and visitors. Uriah, Zeke, Christina, Will, Mar, Shauna, and Lynn, have all came to say hi. Mostly me, Zeke, and Uriah, given the three of us are closest with Tobias.

A few minutes drag onto an hour and I feel myself becoming drowsy once again. After a bit, I fall asleep in the chair.

-A Few Days Later-

"Tobias," I say quietly. I'm sitting on the chair next to his hospital bed, with my head on his arm.  "Please wake up. I need you. I don't know what I'd do if you leave. I love you, Tobias."

I hold his hand and give it a light squeeze in hope that it'll wake him up.  With one hand I hold his and with the other I rub my forehead.

That's when I feel it.

A responding squeeze on my hand.
