Walking around school with Tobias Eaton draws attention.
That is one of the few things I learned since the dance.
One: (Already said it)
Two: Gossip spreads at these rates-
Among close friends- about one minute
Among other friends- three minutes
Among your grade- about ten minutes
Among the whole school- about twenty minutes
Don't gossip, kids.
Three: Tobias is a popular topic, and anything that happens related to him, even remotely, everyone knows about.
(Teehee) Four: Most girls are very fond of him. Being his girlfriend comes with a price of constant nagging, threats, and dirty looks from most girls in the school. Most.
Five: If I am with Tobias, in person, then threats and such stop.
Typical when it comes to cliché high school romance with the schools king. I mean, almost everyone worships Tobias.
And here I am, walking down the hallway, after school, with Tobias, and receiving occasional jealous glances from a few girls, and guys too. Because apperently, Tobias being with me, made a bunch of guys like me. Tobias gets jealous sometimes, and its so cute. He makes this adorable face (at least I think its adorable, other guys think its threatning), and pulls me closer to him.
For example, two days ago, at lunch, a little scene happened:
Me, Christinina, Four, Will, Lynn, Al, Mar, Shauna, Uriah, and Zeke, were sitting together at a table. Four got up to get a water bottle. Some guy named Eric came over to me.
Eric: Hey, Tris
Me: Um, hi? Do I know you?
Eric: Sadly, no. But if you did, I'm sure you'd like me.
Me: Um...
Eric: Let's get to the point. Me, you, date. This Saturday at 8 p.m.
Me: NO! I have a boyfriend!!
Eric: Screw him. You have me now.
Me: EW!! NO!! GET AWAY!!
*Four walks back*
Four: HEY!! What are you doing!?
Eric: Oh. Four.Yugh. I was just winning Tris over.
Me: Ew, no!! Get away from me!!
*Tobias grabs Eric and shoves him to the ground*
Four: Stay away from MY girlfriend!!
Eric: She'll leave you anyway! No one likes you, and no one ever will!
*Tobias punches Eric in the jaw, and shoves him to the ground again* *Teacher comes and takes Tobias and Eric to the Principal's office*
*An hour later*
Voice: Beatrice Prior, to the Principal's office please.
*I get up and go to the office. Three chairs sit facing the Principal. On the far right, is Eric, in the middle seat is Tobias, and I sit in the left one, next to Tobias.*
Principal: Beatrice, do you mind explaining what happened at lunch today?
Me: *Explains the whole situation*
Principal: *sigh* Fighting over a girl, you two?
Tobias: *angrily* She's my girlfriend! He was flirting with her!! What else was I supposed to do!?!
