"I have to go to school?!" Tobias asks me in shock, while we drive to the high school.

"Yup!" I say.

"Aw. Can't we just skip it? Take the day off? Please, babe!" He please.

I shake my head. "No, we can't." I say, not taking my eyes off the road. I turn the left blinkers on and wait for an open time to cross the road.

"Why not?" He continues.

"Because, I did not wake up an hour earlier than usual to pick you up, then just ditch shcool. Uh, uh, not happening. Plus, think of all the work you've missed. If we skipped you would just have more to do."

"Oh, fine."

"See, aren't I always right?" I say with a wink. "Hint, that's where you say yes"

"What if I say no?" He asks flirtasiouly.

"Hm... That's something for another day, my friend."

"Friend?!" He asks worridley.

I roll my eyes. He's so cute. "I mean boyfriend."

"Good. 'Cause if I find out you replaced me when I was in the hospital..." He says, trailing off.

"Don't worry, I didn't." I reassure him.

"I hope so..." He turns and looks out the window for the rest of the drive, silently saying that the conversation was over.

"Hey Tris!" Chris says to me once we get at school. She looks behind me and sees Tobias. "OH EM GEE! You're back!" She exclaims.

"Er... Hi..." Tobias responds awkwardly.

I laugh at his awkwardness, and notice Uriah and Zeke approaching.

"OH MY GOSHNESS! Little Four is back!!" Uriah squeals and jumps around in a circle. Zeke smiles brightly, and him and Tobias do their 'manly' bro-hug or whatever.

After about ten minutes of reuniting everyone, mainly just talking and stuff, given that my friends are not very close with Tobias, the bell for first period rings, and we walk to our first class, which is as boring as usual.

It's the middle of the day. So close to going home.

I'm just getting my lunch from my locker when Al approaches me.

"Hey babe," he says flirtasiously. "How's my girlfriend?"

Girlfriend?? Excuse me? I think. I'm just about to ask him what he's talking about, but someone else beats me to it.

"What? Girlfriend?" Tobias asks. Al nods, a smirk present on his face. A smirk I want to punch off.

"I have no idea what he's talking about, Four." I say reassuringly. "I swear it."

Tobias thinks, then says,"Okay. Let's just go." He takes my arm and leads me away from Al, who is glaring at us.
