At lunch, I see Christina wave at me, but I completely ignore them and walk to a table with a bunch of guys and few girls. The guys seem like less-popular jocks. But, given that I am currently trying to get revenge at Four, this table is perfect. I sit down with them, and smile. They look me over, and accept me. I think my outfit has a lot to do with it. I purposely dressed this way, which is:

Dark skinny jeans, a gray T-shirt that made me look curvier, and Converse that go up to the bottom of my knees.

I tried to look more flattering.

I tried.

One of the boys shoots a slimy grin at me and I smile back flirtatiously.

Ugh. This it's torture.

I wonder if I should just give up and forgive my friends.

What?! NO! They lied to us! If you are going to forgive them, at least make them prove that they are gonna be good friends and not lie to us again. Or anything like that.

- - - -

I feel like I've done something bad.

Even more so that every time I think that, I remind myself how horrible they are and how much I currently hate them.

OH WELL. Suck it up, Conscience! Seriously! I'm up for some revenge!

Speaking of revenge, I have something special going on tonight. I'm excited for it.

I plop down on my bed and get started on my Algebra homework, while eating a toasted bagel with a mountain of Nutella on top. Halfway through my pile of homework, I get a text. From my ex. Wait, no. He is not my ex. We never dated. Anyway, it's from Four.

Tris please talk to me -F

Instead of an answer, I send him a link. A link to what? The song Gives You Hell by All American Rejects.

Yes, yes I did just do that. A few minutes later, I get a reply.

No. Tris, no. Stop please, just let me explain! -F

Did he seriously just text that? Like, what the heck? All players say that. Gosh. I type a reply:

No thanks. -T

TRIS! PLEASE! Please just listen to me! -F

No thanks. -T

Just- Why not? -F

Because. -T

Because what? -F

Because. -T

Tris. Please -F

GOODBYE STUPID -T

No! Tris, please just talk to me! -F

I said bye, why is he continuing to text me? Seriously. I throw my phone onto my desk, missing by about a foot causing it to fall onto the carpet, and go back to my homework.

I'm halfway through finding out four ordered pairs for the function y= 2x + 5, when my phone's alarm goes off. I put my pencil and math journal down, and retrieve my phone from the floor. I dismiss the alarm and check the time. Its 7:30 on the dot. In 30 minutes, the speciality. I'm excited. I go to my closet and rip open the door. I take out a knee-length, spaghetti strap, purple dress that has small rhinestones lining the hems. I slip it on, then go in the bathroom. I curl my hair and brush my teeth. I'm not one with makeup, so I only put on lip gloss and a teensy bit of eye shadow. That's it. I look at myself in the mirror, and admire my work.

Walking to my room, I solve solve the problem. The four ordered pairs for the function y= 2x + 5 , and the four ordered pairs are (-1, 3), (0, 5), (1, 7), (2, 9).

I finish my algebra, then put my books away. Once I'm done, I hear a knock on the door.

"Oh hello! Come on in." I hear my mom greet the person at the door. She comes up the stairs and pokes her head through my door. "Beatrice, come on. Don't want to be late." She winks at me and I smile.

I head downstair and am awed by the goregousness standing infront of me. "Hey, Tris. Ready to go?"

I smile again. "Yeah, let's go."

Hopefully all goes well.

Hopefully all goes as planned.
