I'm baaaaaaaack :D

"Hey!" I heard from next to me. Christina came up to me, with an excited look on her face. "Guess what?"

I closed my locker and turned to face her. "What?"

"My mom said I could have a mini-party and sleepover! You and the group are invited!" She said with a smile growing.

"That's cool! I'll ask if I can go. When is it?"

"It's tonight actually." She answered.

"Oh. Short notice." I say flatly. I'll really have to ask.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I was just told this morning. I called the other girls this morning, but I didn't have enough time to call you." she explained. "So I figured I would just tell you at school, but then I forgot about it pretty much every time I remembered."

"Aha. So you forgot."

"Well, not entirely." She said sassily, flicking her wrist as emphasis. "I remembered it just now, didn't I?"

"Yeah, okay." I don't mean any offense, but sometimes Christina can be a bit dumb... Well, I guess more forgetful than dumb. But you get my drift, right?

"Stop judging me! I know you are in your head!" she whines.

"Judge! Judge! Judge!" I say just to tease her. She covers her ears and runs off, chanting 'la la la!' as she goes.

Turning to walk away, I bump into yet another person standing at my locker. And it just so happens to be the one person I have recently started to dislike. Al.

"Hey Tris," He says to me as I attempt to walk past him. "Why'd you ditch me this morning? I just wanted to say 'hi' to my girlfriend."

The word 'girlfriend' makes me snap and I turn around to face him.

"I am not your girlfriend!" I say harshly.

He scratches the back of his head. "Sorry, I forgot."

"Yeah." I say to him. I'm Tobias's girlfriend.

"Your not my girlfriend, yet." he apparently finishes.

Once again, I freeze. He is really testing my nerves.

"Nooo," I say once again. "Not 'am' and not 'yet'. I am Tobias's girlfriend. Not yours!"

Al follows me when I try to walk away.

"What do you even see in him? He's messed up."

Resisting the urge to snap his neck, I pretend like Al said nothing and continue the route to my next class.

"Come on, you know he is."

"No he is not! If anything you're messed up!" I shout at Al, earning curious glances from other students at their lockers.

"You don't know what you're saying, Tris! You'll see! I will get you to like me, and you'll realize how much better I am for you!"

He stomped away, leaving me in the hallway (which I honestly like better).

☆•☆•☆

"Please?"

"No, you have homework and chores to do. You can go some other day."

I'm currently trying to convince my mother to let me go to Christina's.. Trying is the key.

"Christina has homework also, so we can work on it together."

"You're not going to let me say no to this, are you?"

"Please!" I begged.

Mom sighed again. "I guess so. Just be responsible and make sure to get done what you need to, and-"

"Yes, I know mom." I said.

She pressed her lips into a straight line. "Go pack."

I ran up the stairs and to my room, skipping a few steps as I went. I quickly grabbed an extra bag and grabbed pajamas from one of my drawers, then stuffed it into the bag.

I rushed to my closet and pushed clothes around, searching for and outfit to wear tomorrow.

I eventually decided on just black shorts, a gray shirt, and my converse. I threw that into the bag too and zipped it up.

I ran down the stairs as fast as I could without tripping, and jumped down from the fourth step to the bottom. I made my way to my parents and Caleb.

"Bye, mom," I said, giving her a peck on the cheek. "I'll be back after school tomorrow."

"Bye, dad." I also gave him a peck on the cheek.

I stopped at Caleb. He stuck his cheek out towards me.

"Erm. Bye, annoying brother." I walked past him, to the door, without kissing his cheek.

"I love you too, Bea." He said sarcastically.

I got in my car and drove off the Christina's, where I was greeted by her and a few of our friends jumping at me the moment I stepped outside. Christina squealed at a very high octave that I even think threatened to shatter the glass windows of both my car and her house. Not my car, I thought. Don't you dare put a smudge on my baby.

"You're finally here!" Christina screamed as she hugged me with such strength that I can almost feel my ribs cracking.

"Oh, I've been gone soo long!" I say sarcastically. Is it just me, or am I being really sarcastic lately?

"Yes, I see we're on the same page." A deep voice says from behind me. Turning around, I see Tobias standing behind me with a bright smile on his face. I hug him tightly, earning a return from him.

"I think everyone is here," Christina says. "Let's go inside and start this party!" She jumps excitedly then leads the way in the house, that is until we hear a car horn honk from behind all of us.

Looking to see who it is, I see the person I despise park somewhat in Christina's driveway. Al gets out of his car and smiles at us. An ugly smile that is.

"Forget about someone?" He says, sending my a wink.
