It was coming to the end of February, as Eren and Armin were walking to school together. Eren couldn't wait to see Mikasa again. A couple of weeks passed since Valentine's Day, and tension was very high between Eren and Mikasa. Mikasa always got taken in the car by her mother, due to her taking ages to get ready for school. Although Mikasa is a very attractive girl, she is rather lazy and tends to sleep in some days.

"You seem in a good mood this morning," Armin smirked seeing Eren's happy grin.

"I just can't wait to see her again!" He replied, excited to see that lovely girl again. "Eren, you saw her yesterday." He reminded him, as Eren nodded anxiously.

"I know Armin, I know. It's just that... I'm going to tell her how I feel." He revealed as Armin stopped in his tracks as he looked at Eren with a nervous look.

"E-Eren are you sure?" Armin asked him, as he did not expect that from Eren. "I'm positive Armin, I know she's the one, I can feel it." He said looking down at the palm of his hand, as he gently closed it into a balled fist.

Eren then peered to the left seeing the flowers that bloomed every year, as he went over and picked one out. "You think she'll like this one?!" Eren loudly suggested to Armin, as he rolled his eyes and stared over at him showing the flower in hand.

Armin then walked over, examining the flower, seeing the lovely coating of light pink and the hotness of red at its core.

"I think so. You know, I've never known you to be the romantic type." Arming admitted surprisingly, as Eren smirked putting the flower in his pocket, and carried on walking.

"Well... maybe there are some things you don't know about me." He simply put it.

But then out of nowhere, the sounds of skidding could be heard as a car flew swiftly by the two young boys as the tumbled over on their backs. The car then spun out and lost control, tumbling on its side as pieces of glass scattered the ground, leaving a trail of blood heading right to the broken sedan on its back.

"WHOA!!!" Armin screamed, his voice cracking in the process, while Eren just looked in shock. His mouth was slightly open as he took shaky breaths, seeing the car on its back, as nearby citizens took notice and were huddling around it, like crows praying on a dead carcass.

But Eren looked closer inside the vehicle, seeing a glimpse of what seemed to be, the remains of hand. Then out of nowhere, Eren had a series of flashing images go by in his head. He thought he had an epileptic attack, but he wasn't displaying any sort of symptoms, only that he was able to make one of those images out.

He was looking through the eyes of someone else's, seeing the clothing of this individual was ripped and half tore. He was on his knees, seeing his arms were on the ground, and the state of his hands. They were bloody and looked like a dog gnawed on it, with some parts of his skin ripped clean off, exposing his corroded flesh.

"Eren? Eren!! EREN!!!" Armin shook him violently, causing Eren to snap back into reality. Eren then looked with his face stretched out with a very scared look in his eyes, almost as if Eren wanted to cry.

"Are you okay?" Armin asked, his voice very quiet and concerned for his friend.

"Let's... let's just go," Eren breathlessly said, his unease and shaky.

The two shaky boys then left the now disturbing street, seeing police cars drive by, not even hearing the sirens due to the amount of shock they were in. When they arrived at the school, they saw the cheerful and bright kids laughing and smiling everywhere they went. But for these two, after what they saw, they couldn't even do that simple thing, Eren most of all, who didn't say or breathe a single word.
