Chapter 18: Reconcile

(Decided to use one of my drawings for the cover, also forgot to say that Isabel's eye colour is supposed to be blue so ignore the green in the cover. Hope you like it! Also, 700 reads!!! It was early hours in the morning and Isabel was in her police car following the tracks of the Titans. Isabel was constantly getting report calls from her dad telling her to come back but she couldn't, for some reason she felt like she knew Chaz was with those Titans, and that girl and three boys. It just seemed so coincidental that she met someone who knew about Chaz, asked about the facility and then later on the facility got attacked by Titans.

She had this huge gut feeling he was there with them so she got to her police car late a night a drove off without telling her parents. She still remembered how bad it was in all the chaos that happened in the city.

(Flashback yesterday)

Isabel's POV

When the girl and boys left five minutes ago, I was ready to back to my car and go home, when all of a sudden, a huge booming sound engulfed the city, as I then heard abnormal roars, followed by the ground shaking and buildings being torn down and left to rot. I then got up and ran toward the facility where my father was as I need to see if he made it out alive. Out of all the people I ran past, most of them were dead bodies or severally injured people, but I couldn't stop, I needed to keep moving forward.

As much as it pained me to hear little girls crying out for help and family's trying to bring them back when it's too late, it broke my heart knowing that I just ran past all of them, but I can't save everyone. When I made it to the facility it was demolished with black smoke coming out of a hole that was made on the roof. Soldiers were running all over the place, guns were being loaded, canons were being stocked up, I just wondered what the hell happened when I left.

"Isabel!!" I then heard my fathers beaten voice as he was coughing heavily, as I turned to see him holding a fellow officer. "Dad!! Are you okay?!" "I'm fine sweetie, listen to me I need you to come with me and find those two little brats!!" My dad was shouting so much but there was so much noise ringing in my ears I could barely hear anything. "What?!" "Just come with me!!" He took my hand and we went over to his car as we got and turned the sirens on and reversed out hitting a solider by accident and driving off.

"What's going on daddy what happened?!" "Those fucking children that's what! They fucking trapped us in the filing room, and locked the door! God knows why, maybe they suspected we were helping the intruders?! I don't know, but we need to find them brats, that's our priority, got it?!" I nodded shakily as he was driving like a maniac, as I clutched onto the door handle as we took a sharp right into people on the road.

"Argh, shit!! Alright, we go on foot from here. Listen to me, whatever you do, do not stop for anyone, you understand?!" I stared at him for a few seconds like a confused dog as I then nodded exiting the car to see the stampede of civilians running like sheep. I then ran across the road into an alleyway making my way down as I saw at the end of the light, two of the Titans running after each other, as I ran faster trying to get a glimpse of them.

As I ran out into the open I looked to the left just barely seeing the hair of one of them as it slithered against a building to the right. "Damn it!!" I continued to run after the two monsters, pushing some pedestrians aside not seeming to care that I'm a police officer anymore. But then I saw something fly past me like a jet engine, as I saw two people flying as if they're superheroes, but then they were just gone.
