Jack
"Thinking about your sexy sugar daddy?" Jack asked, chewing the delicious pasta James had made.
He had called Jack earlier, and said he wanted to hang out. Jack came gladly. It was good to see him back to his old self again after what had happened with Ada.
James didn't know he knew. His brother wanted to put it past him. Jack respected his decision, and kept his mouth shut.
Jack was happy Jamie had Artyom to take care of him when he couldn't. Vampire blood was really practical. Too bad Jack wasn't one. All he could hope for was a werwolf, or a warlock, and even that was dormant. Talk about unfair.
He hadn't told James yet. He had to wait, and see what Gideon would find.
"What?" James looked up at Jack with distant eyes, twirling the pasta around his fork.
Unlike Jack, he hadn't eaten much. Jack couldn't help that he was a food whore, and James was a great cook. "Are you thinking about Artyom?" He smirked.
He loved teasing James about Artyom. Jamie pretended like he didn't enjoy it, but Jack knew deep down he did.
"Yeah." Jamie said with a sad, dreamy look in his eyes.
"Are you two Ok or do I need to kill him?" Jack drank his beer.
He liked Artyom but if he was hurting his little brother in any way, he was a dead man.
James looked appalled. "What? No. Everything's great. I couldn't be happier."
"Then why do you look like someone stole your precious bike?"
James sighed, and let go of his fork, slumping in his chair. "Artyom asked me to go to Hungary with him for Christmas."
"That's great, Isn't it?" Jack exclaimed.
"What about you?" James gave his big brother a guilty look.
"What about me?" Jack rose a questioning eyebrow at him.
"We always spend Christmas together. I can't leave you alone. It would be a dick move. I like spending time with Artyom, a lot, but it doesn't mean I have forgotten about us..."
Jack smiled, and ruffled his hair. "Jamie I know and I love you for it, but we're both adults now. We've got our own lives, things we want to do, and we can't always do them together. I know how much you want to go on this trip with Artyom, and I think you should. Don't worry about me. I've got Nora."
"I would still feel guilty for leaving you." James mumbled, looking at his food.
Jack rolled his eyes. "You're only going to another country, not another planet. Stop worrying about me, and enjoy yourself. As your older brother I order you to go with Artyom, and have the best time of your life."
"Even if you're Ok with it, I still don't think I should..."
"Why the hell not?" Jack threw his hands up in the air.
"I feel like it's too soon, you know? We haven't been together that long..."
Jack snorted. "Now you're making up excuses."
"Am not." James glared at him.
"Are to." Jack glared back.
"You'd go on a vacation with Nora if she asked you?"
"Yeah, but Nora is not my sugar mommy. We're not a couple..."
James rolled his eyes. "You practically live together."
