James
"What's wrong?" Artyom asked, alarmed by James's wide eyes and rigid body.
James couldn't speak. He could only stare at the tall, brown haired woman leaning against the opposite wall, looking back at him with familiar green eyes filled with love, and regret.
James blinked, and then did it a few more times to make sure she was still there.
"Do you want me to kick her ass?" Nora glanced at the woman with suspicion, hand on Jack's back.
"I don't know."
The Brooks family looked confused. The only thing more surprising than the newcomer was that Adrian, Marcia, Thia, and Gideon were also looking at the woman as if they knew her.
James's head was spinnig. He wanted to run to her, touch her, make sure she was real.
"Tell me you see her too." He asked his brother with a trembling voice.
"I do." Jack nodded.
That was enough confirmation to turn James's world upside down.
"Why didn't you say you were dropping by?" Marcia spoke, and crushed the woman in a tight hug.
James's head was filled with too much noise to hear her answer. "I don't understand." He mumbled, wrapping his arms around his stomach.
"James who is that?" Artyom tried agin, rubbing his shoulder soothingly.
"My sister. She's my sister."
"I didn't know you had a sister, and she knew Adrian's people." Ada whispered.
"Neither did I." Artyom whispered back.
James watched as Thia, Adrian, and Gideon hugged his sister one by one. He noticed Gideon lingered in her arms a little longer. Ada noticed too. They were talking over each other excitedly, looking like a family.
"Aren't you gonna give your big sister a hug Jamie?" Ganevieve said with a teary eyed smile, standing in front of him.
James reached out with shaky fingers, and touched her hand. It was solid, and warm, flesh, and bone. His sister was back. James threw himself in her open arms. He was hugging Vivi after fourteen years.
Jack jouned, and squeezed them so tightly James could barely breath, but he didn't care. Ganavieve was here.
They stood there, lost in each other's embrace, and disconnected from the rest of the world. When he looked up the room was empty. Everyone had left, giving them privacy to catch up in peace. He was thankful.
"I can't believe you're alive." James touched his sister's wavy hair.
"Touche." Vivi caresed his tear stained cheek tenderly. "I'm here baby brother, and I'm not going anywhere."
"Do you promise?" James knew he sounded childlish, but he needed to be reasured.
She smiled. "Yes I promise."
"Were the hell have you been all this time Viv?" Jack asked, not bothering to hide his own tears. "We though you were dead, or you left us..."
