Artyom

He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel, listening to the song filling the car. Glad you came by the wanted was cheesy, but it was one of James's favorites and calmed Artyom down as he waited for his lover to come back to him.

James loved to grind against Artyom and make him dance to the tune. Artyom hadn't meant for James to own a big part of his heart but he knew falling in love with that beautiful man was inevitable.

Artyom couldn't lose James. If he was taken from him by Matthias... He still hadn't healed completely after Thomas, and Vadik, and if the same thing happened to James...

Part of him regretted opening up to James last night. He knew James understood but he had seen the weak side of Artyom. Now he knew how helpless Artyom felt. What if he left?

His throat close up with fear. His hands fisted around the wheel. He placed his forehead on the steering wheel.

A spark of jealousy burned in Artyom's heart, urging him to go to Ada and start a fight for keeping his man in there for too long, for breaking his heart, but he knew he was being childlish and unfair.

Artyom took a few deep breathes, and tried to calm himself down. James would come back eventually. He was excited about being a father again. How could Artyom blame him for that?

A loud knock on the window made him look up. "I'll be damned." Opening the door, Artyom climbed out, and smiled at the man standing in front of the gate.

He looked pretty much the same as the last time Artyom had seen him, except for the happy glow in his eyes.

"Nice seeing you here Gideon." Artyom gave him a hug.

Gideon threw both of his arms around Artyom and patted his back. "That makes two of us mate. I'd missed you."

"Me too."

"How's Adrian, and everyone else?" Artyom asked as they drew apart.

He hadn't been to the castle for about tweny years, too busy with life, and work. Plus London brought back painful memories of Thomas he had tried to burry.

"You know, as usual. Thia is still a pain in my arse, Marcie's still a goddess, and Adrian has adopted more children, and by children I mean mostly depressed adaults." Gideon replied with a soft, sad chuckle.

"Good to know nothing has changed."

"How have you been? Still have the club?"

"I'm fine. And yes I do."

"How's your friend Hans? Shagging the entire male population of Germany?"

"You know it." Artyom smirked.

"Did I ever tell you, he once tried to get into my pants." Gideon laughed. "that was before he knew I was straight."

"Shit. You do have a nice ass though."

"Thanks." Gideon grinned, and gave Artyom's back another friendly pat.

"So you know the Brooks huh?" Artyom was looking at the manor.

"Yeah. I'm friends with Ada. And you're friends with James." Gideon gave him a meaningful smirk and wiggled his eyebrows.

Artyom wasn't surprised Gideon knew. He could smell James's scent on him. "Yes." He answered with a fond smile.

"I'm happy for you. But I'm also surprised you, and hunter boy are together. I know you like men but James always looked straight to me."

"Not anymore. I pulled him to the dark side." Artyom grinned. "now he wears a bi cape and binge watches How to Get Away with Murder with me."

Gideon laughed. "That's amazing. So spill. How did all of this happen?"

"I'm not sure if James wants anyone to know."

"Well it's kinda hard to miss it with your scent clinging to him like a sexy cologne."

"I know, but still, I rather not say anything unless I'm sure he's Ok with it."

"I respect that, but at least come in. It's better than staying here wallowing in self-pitty."

"I wasn't..."

"Don't lie to me Artyom. I know you, and I know that look. You're either thinking about Vadik, Thomas, or losing James."

Artyom sighed. "Sometimes I really hate how good you read me."

"I know." Gideon smiled and linked his arm through Artyom's. "Let's introduce you to the gang."
