Ada
Germany
She was lying on filthy sheets, wrists and ankels chained tightly to the bed. The dark room smelled of pain and piss.
Ada looked down at herself. Blood was running down her thighs.
People surrounded the bed, Looking down at her with empty faces. Ada only recognized one and was immediately scared.
"Give me the scalpal." Angelina ordered in a cold voice and pushed Ada's nightgown up to reveal her prominant stomach.
"No please, not my baby. Torture me all you want but don't hurt my baby." Ada pleaded with her and started withering on the dirty sheets, trying to get away.
"You're no use to me. But I promise you this, I'm going to kill your child like you did mine and there is nothing you can do about it."
"No please, I'm the only one to blame. Kill me..." Ada's pleading was replaced by screams when Angelina ripped into her stomach with the scalpal.
Ada jolted awake gasping, drenched in cold sweat, blankets tangled around her legs. Her hand immediately went to her stomach, and her thighs, there was no blood.
It had become a morning ritual. No matter how much she tried to busy herself with reading, and not fall sleep, she eventually would, and the nightmare was there to rip her apart.
Ada fell back against the pillows, pushing her sweaty hair out of her face. She was fine. Angelina couldn't reach her here.
Her family was on high alert. Marcia had put a strong protective spell on the house, and Adrian had sent gaurds for extra protection. They patrolled the house constantly.
Ada was still worried. She knew how cruel Angelina was. She hadn't forgotten how she had used James to save herself, to show how truly powerless Ada was.
The only way everyone she cared about would be safe was if Angelina was dead. But Ada had tried, and failed. She couldn't make the same mistake again. She couldn't put someone else's life in danger.
Ada wish she had never killed Angelina's children. One stupide mistake, and she was damned for eternity.
Her phone dinged. Ada felt for it through the blankets and pillows and looked at the screen.
How are you doing today sweetheart?
It was a text from Gideon. He checked up on Ada every day. At first it was kind of annoying, but she had come to appriciate them.
Ada: Peachy.
Gideon: Do you fancy a walk?
Ada bit the side of her index finger. She did want to hang out with him, but also didn't want him to see her sickly pail skin, and tired, sleep deprived eyes. He would worry.
Ada: Tnx, but not today. Maybe tomorrow.
Gideon: Everything Ok?
Ada: Yeah, I just want to spend some time with Nora. We haven't done that in a long time.
Gideon: Ok. Take care sweetheart.
