Artyom
Hans's loud laughter made Artyom look up from his laptop. His best friend was lying on the couch in his office, texting.
"Found a new twink?" Artyom asked him with a smirk, stretching his arms over his head. His body ached from sitting in the same position for hours.
"My soulmate." Hans said with a huge grin.
Artyom snorted, leaning back in his chair. "You said that last time, and the time before that, and the time before that..."
Hans looked offended. "Who said people can only have one soulmate? Fuck that. I have a big, wild soul. The more the merrier."
Artyom rolled his eyes. "You always mistake love for lust."
"Lust can lead to love. It did for you, twice. I'm hoping for the same thing. Oh and let's not forget about your hot bartender who's number three." Hans was looking at him and texting at the same time.
Artyom's heart ached at the mention of his dead lovers. "I don't love James. We're just... dating."
"Oh please." Hans snorted. "You're whipped as fuck. We both know it."
"I do like him. A lot."
"Is that why you've been searching for the perfect honeymoon destination all day? Because you like him?" Hans said with a wicked smirk.
"It's just a vacation, like I've told you before."
"Are you going to tell him you love him before or after the honeymoon?"
"Let it go already."
"Let what go?"
Artyom looked up to see James standing in the doorway. He looked well, no more broken ribs, or fingers. It felt good to know he was healed because of Artyom, that he had let Artyom help him.
He smiled upon remembering the events of that night, and the morning after.
"My hopes of watching you two fuck each other's brains out." Hans said with a crooked smile, standing up from the couch. "Artyom doesn't like to share. I don't suppose you do either?"
"Hans." Artyom glared at him.
Jame's blushed. "I...what?"
Hans chuckled and ruffled his dark brown hair. "I'm just messing with you boy. You're not my type. You're too sweet. Too vanilla." He made a face at that and winked. "No offense."
"Oh uh Ok?" James looked like a flustered tomato.
It made Artyom want to smile, but he managed to keep a straight face. "Hans, enough." He shot him another warning look.
Hans rolled his eyes. "All right. I'll leave you two love birds alone. Wish me luck with my new soulmate."
James shot Artyom a quizzical look to which he mouthed new boy toy.
"Good luck." James smiled.
Hans smiled back at him. "Thank you darling." Then smirked at Artyom. "I saw that you son of a whore."
"I know." Artyom chuckled.
Hans opened the door. "Have fun loves. Gotta finish my sexting. Later."
