Ada 

"I swear your baby has more clothe than me and I have lots." Nora complained as she opened another gift box.

Ada looked at the giant mountain of presents in the middle of her bed. "I guess tiny things are too cute to resist."

Since Ada had wrecked her old room during her short, troublesome stay in the past, Adrian had kindly let her pick another one which she mostly shared with Gideon.

Ada wan't sure what Genevieve, and Gideon's deal was and she wasn't in the mood to analyse it so untill Gideon decided to show up and explain himself, she wasn't going to think about it.

Chances were she would explode, and wreck yet another room which wouldn't be good for the baby, or the room, or the people in it.

"It's true." Nora smiled softly. "Do you think I should go shopping?"

"Nah I still haven't seen all of your wardrobe, specially the lingerie collection." Jack smirked.

"I'll make sure to wear a new one for you tonight." Nora winked at him.

Dad cleared his throat, looking at a cute green onesie. "Hello? We're here too. Do you two mind?"

"Don't be so old fashioned." Mom scolded him with a swat on his arm. "Love should be talked about, and celebrated, not swept under the rug."

Dad groaned. "I agree, but I don't talk to them about your sexy clothe."

Mom chuckled. "You just did honey."

Dad blushed. "This doesn't count."

"Aw, you guys are adorable." Nora said. "It's good to know you two still have sex even after all this time."

Dad looked appelled. "Nora Brooks you have no shame."

She smirked. "Nope, not one bit."

Jack leaned over, and pecked her lips. "That's one of the many reasons I love you."

Dad shook his head at them. "Kids these days."

Mom rolled her eyes. "Oh please, we had sex before we even went on a date which was considered scandalous thirty years ago and let's not forget you were a shameless flirt, even on the verge of death."

Dad choked on air. "Grace."

Ada chuckled. "Really?"

Mom smirked. "Oh yeah. I used to be a nurse back then, and nursed your dad back to health after what I now know was one of his hunting trips. He used to flirt with me all the time, even though he looked like a corpse. I flirted back. Didn't have the heart to be mean to him."

Dad gasped playfuly. "You said I was the most handsome man in the hospital."

"Yeah, but you did look like shit, what with your messed up face, and a mangled body."

Nora burst out laughing. "Mom you're so fucking savage."

Dad sniffed, crossing his arms. "No sex for a month."

Mom ruffled his gray- brown hair, and hugged him with one arm. "You're still handsome Steven. I was just joking, and we both know you can't stay away for that long."

Dad smiled fondly at her. "Why do you always have to be right?"

Nora nudged Ada's side, whispering in her ear. "The sex card always works."

"It does." Ada smirked. "They're so cute."

"I bet Mom looked super gorgeous in her nurse uniform." Nora said.

Dad nodded, looking at Mom as if she was his whole world. "Yes I couldn't take my eyes off of her."

"Good to know things like that don't just happen in porn." Jack laughed, playing with a toy car.

Dad shot him a glare, but it was playful. "That's not how you talk about your in-laws son."

Jack blinked, looking emotional all of a sudden. "Sorry sir."

Nora rolled her eyes. "Dad stop being a dick."

"I'm just saying if you two ever want to get married one day you have my blessings."

"That's good to know. Thank you. But I don't think we're there yet." Jack cleared his throat awkwardly.

"Jack's right. Can we get back to the rest of the presents?" Nora shot Dad a serious look.

"Sure. And Ada, the same goes for you, and Gideon. He's a good man. Even though he did kill me once but that was mostly my own fault."

Ada stared at the small socks in her hands. "Thanks."

"You should rest dear." Mom told her. "We'll take the rest of the gifts to our room."

Ada shook her head. "I'm not tired."

"How about some cake?" Jack suggested. "Cake makes everything better."

Coming from him, it showed genuine kindness. Even after three month Jack was still tense around Ada but he was trying. They were both trying to be civil with each other. 

"Ok maybe a little." Ada gave in.   

The sound of the door bell made her jump.
