Ada

"Hey sweatheart." Gideon appeared in the threshold of the bedroom, holding a plate of rainbow cake. "I brought a peace offering, so maybe... don't rip me to shreds?"

Ada looked up at his hopeful, wary eyes. "Not hungry."

"Marcia will be pissed if you don't taste her awesome creation. Her words, not mine."

"Aaaaand that's our cue to leave." Jack stood up from the bed, the toy car still in his hands, so did her parents.

"Later sis. Don't kill him too much." Nora waved, and left with Jack.

"Good night honey." Mom gave her an encouraging smile.

"Good luck." Dad patted Gideon's back, and closed the door after them.

Gideon cleared his throat. "How long do I have before my probable demise?"

"Depends on your explanation."

"Fair enough." He sat beside her and put the plate on the bed then started playing with his fingers. "So thing is..."

"Did I say you could sit?" Ada looked at him with cold eyes, even though she was desperate to touch him.

Gideon jumped up. "I'm sorry. You're really scaring the shit out of me."

"Start talking. You're time's running out."

Gideon hugged himself. "Gen is an old friend of mine. I saved her life once, and I was also the one who turned her. She, and I used to date. But it's not like that anymore. We're over, since four years ago. She's just a really good friend. You have nothing to worry about. I promise."

Ada rose an eyebrow. "That so?"

"Yes. I swear it on my life." He dropped to his knees.

Ir took her by surprise. Gideon Being on his knees for her while they were having sex was one thing, but he had never done it out of the bedroom.

"What the are you doing?"

Gideon gaulped, looking up at her with his heart in his eyes. "I'm showing you how much I...How much I'm in love with you Ada Brooks. I'm yours. I've never given myself up to anyone like this before.

I've never trusted anyone like I trust you, to show them my truest self. But you know who I really am, what I really want. You know I can be as twisted, as complicated, and as troubled as you, but you never turned your back on me.

I'm so fucking in love with you Ada. You don't even know. I didn't have the balls to tell you until now. Please believe me. I would never, ever cheat on you. You know that, you know me." He hesitantly reached for her hand.

Ada let him grab it. "Where did you find your balls? At the bottom of a vodka glass?"

"Hans, and Artyom helped too." Gideon answered with a nervous chuckle.

"Get up." Ada told him, and patted the spot next to her.

Gideon sat down slowly, eyes locked with hers. "You believe me?"

Ada grabbed his face between her hands. "Yes."

Gideon sighed, releaved. "Thank you."

"That was a dramatic speech."

He blushed. "It was nothing but the truth. It's Ok if you don't love me back..."

"How can you think I'm not in love with you?" Ada whispered in his ear. "I literaly killed for you. And I'll do it again if I have to."

Gideon smiled. "I'm happy you feel the same. Why didn't you say anything sooner?"

"You weren't the only one who was looking for their balls." She kissed him slow and deep. After they pulled back, Ada cupped his stubbled cheek, looking into his eyes. "I'm so glad I finally got this off my chest."

"That makes two of us." Gideon hugged Ada to himself, burrying his face in her neck. "Do you think it would be too awkward if we had sex surrounded by baby shower gifts?" He whispered into her hair, and kissed her neck.

Ada smirked, moving her hand down his spine, and grabbing his firm ass. "I don't really care. I want you."
