Ada
Ada looked at Gideon as she chewed the last piece of blueberry pancake. He was lying beside her, snuggling against her outstretched legs, long arms looped around her waist.
His nose, and cheeks were healed, but Ada couldn't help but feel guilty everytime she looked at him. He had came here for her, saved her. She ran her fingers through his short brown hair.
Ada remembered those early mornings she used to wake up beside Gideon, groggy, but happy after a night out, or in bed. She loved it when he was asleep, and Ada could lie there, and watch him, drink in his serene beauty, heart overflowing with love.
Those moments were precious to her. But things were different now, they were different. Gideon chose to leave because of his guilt. Now they couldn't go back because of Ada's.
Ada caressed Gideon's stubbled cheek, staring at his parted lips, and warm neck, full veins running beneath the surfuce, begging to be worshiped. She missed tasting his blood, hearing Gideon moan deliciously as she sucked on his neck.
They used to take turns drinking from each other while fucking on the sheets, painting the white, crimson with their hunger, their lust for flesh, and blood.
There was some kind of love trapped between their heated skin, and warm blood. They never said the words, but it was there. They both knew it. That was enough.
Gideon stirred in sleep, nuzzling Ada's left thigh. "Morning." He croaked, voice muffled.
Ada snatched her fingers away from his cheek, and picked up a glass of blood from the breakfast tray. "Morning sleepyhead."
"What time is it?" Gideon asked, arms still around her.
Ada didn't know if he was aware of it or not, but she liked it. "Eleven a.m."
"Bloody hell." Gideon rolled away from her, running a hand through his face. "Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" He looked at Ada through long, black lashes, brown eyes puffy from sleep.
"How could I when you were clinging to me like a cute kitty?" Ada smirked.
Gideon blushed. "I...I thought I was dreaming. I'm sorry Ada I didn't mean to overstep my boundries."
Ada smiled, and took another sip of blood. "It's Ok. Did you sleep well?"
Gideon leaned against the pillows, clearing his throat. "Yeah. What about you?Anymore nightmares?"
"No. Guess you're my safety blanket."
"And you're mine." He yawned, stretching his arms above his head.
Ada wanted those arms around her, hands on her body, fangs grazing her skin. She wanted to pin him against the sheets, and make him beg but she couldn't have him. She didn't deserve him any more.
"You look better." Gideon onserved with kind eyes.
"Thanks." Ada busied herself with her drink.
"How's the little troublemaker doing?" Gideon touched her stomach softly.
"Great."
"Have you thrown up?"
"No. I managed to keep down dinner, and breakfast. Thanks to your charming tongue." Ada gave him an appreciative smile.
"I'm glad I was helpful." Gideon beamed and reached over to pick up a piece of pancake. He bit into it, moaning at the taste.
Ada wanted to strangle him for making those delicious sounds. She also wanted to make more pour out of his mouth.
His cell dinged. Gideon picked it up quickly, and whistled. "Of course."
"What is it?"
"It's Thia. They finally found out what James is, what the whole Miller family is."
Ada looked at the screen. "Makes sense."
"I know. I think it's time you tell him Ada."
"I'll will when he gets here."
Gideon rose an eyebrow. "He found out?"
"yeah. Jack told me this morning. James showed up last night, but since I was asleep Jack told him to come back tomorrow."
"Jack talked?"
"No I trust him. Someone else did."
"Who?"
"I don't know. What matters is how James is going to react. I know he won't hate the baby. Jack reassured me, but I'm sure he still hates me..."
"He'll come around." Gideon grabbed her hand, giving it a light squeeze.
"What if he doesn't?"
"Then I'll kick his stupid arse."
Ada pinched her lips together. "No. No more fighting. I don't want you in the room when he gets here..."
"Fine." Gideon let go of her hand, and got off the bed.
"Gideon wait. I didn't mean it like that."
"It's Ok." He shrugged.
"Look at me." She grabbed his face in her hands. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you..."
"Ada I said it's Ok." He tried to get away from her but she held on to him.
"I don't want to be alone with James because I still have feelings for him. He's the father of my child. I need to talk to him, make sure we're in this together.
It doesn't mean I don't care about you. You're my friend. It's something I need to do on my own. It doesn't change anything between us. I promise. Do you believe me Gideon?"
A faint, but real smile appeared on his lips. "I believe you."
Relieved, she hugged him. "Thank you."
Gideon hugged her back tightly.
"Is this a bad time?"
