Morgan's POV
"Wait a second. You're telling me that Hayley as in Hayley Duvall your bully and nemesis spent Christmas with you at your house?"
I stopped sipping my iced coffee, "Yes I think that's what I said."
"And you two didn't like tear each other apart?"
"No."
"Why?"
I held a finger up as I sipped the last of my coffee until it made that weird sound when it's empty and theres just ice left.
"It was Christmas I wasn't going to fight Hayley that's just not christmassy." I explained with an obvious tone.
I looked around the coffee shop and thought that it was a bit too crowded for a day before new year in Jerome.
"I guess you're right," he muttered.
I turned back to my best friend, "Have you talked to Kaden?"
"Sure we talk every day."
Okay now I know she's mad at me.
Why? I have no fucking clue.
"Great," I crossed my arms.
"Why? She's not talking to you?" He asked.
"No and before you ask, I don't know why either."
Jason sighed.
"Haven't you thought that is maybe bec-" he couldn't get to finish what he was saying as he was rudely cut off by another voice.
"Valentine."
I looked up to see Hayley standing in front of my chair. I frowned confused as why was she doing here, "Yes?"
"Here." She extended her arms and shoved a box into my chest.
"What's this?" I raised a brow.
"Cookies."
"Nice, thanks?"
She looked around and nodded, "Yeah you're welcome or whatever."
"Did you spit on them?" I asked and she frowned.
"No."
"Just wanted to know."
Her green eyes stared into my grey ones in what looked to be boredom, "I'll go now." Hayley looked at Jason once before leaving, "James," she acknowledged him before leaving.
"Who the fuck is James?" Jason said offended.
"I think she was referring to you."
"No shit!" He looked at the box in my hands, "What's that for anyway?"
I shrugged.
"To eat, there's cookies inside apparently." I looked at the box and shook it and heard there was indeed something inside.
"Open it up then I want cookies." Jason said excitedly.
I opened the box and it was full of chocolate chips and rainbow chips cookies.
"Nice," I mumbled before grabbing one and passing the box to my best friend.
Jason took one and bit it, "There's a possibility these are poisoned but they're so good that I don't care."
"For real," I said while munching the cookie.
"Hey there's something glued to the base of the box." Jason said and took what it looked like a card and passed it to me.
