Morgan's POV

The end of the school year was fast approaching, which meant teachers were not leaving so much work and everyone was more relaxed because finals were long over. However that also gave several seniors the idea to throw parties as often as they could before graduating and ultimately leaving town — well most of them.

My trip to Illinois went well and since I got accepted that's where I'll be headed after school. How will my relationship with Kaden work out with that? I'm not sure, especially since I don't know what Kaden's gonna do, she hasn't mentioned any colleges to me yet.

"We are going to Christine Thompson's party tonight, right?" Jason said putting his arms around Kaden and I as we strolled through the school hallways.

"I don't know Jase," Kaden said.

"Oh come on Kaden, the Thompson's are the richest family in town and Christine's partys are always the best. Plus it's one of our last parties in high school." Jason looked at me for support, "We have to go!"

"He's right Kade," I said making her look at me. "We need to enjoy our last weeks of school life before graduation."

"Parties like these never end anything but badly," the silver haired responded.

The class bell rang and Jason sighed and shook his head. "Well Norah and I are going anyway, so if you decide to go let me know."

I watched as he headed down the hall to his class while I stayed put besides Kaden who looked weird. She has been acting off for a while, not very like her — like nothing excites her.

"Kade are you okay?" I decided to finally ask her.

"Do you really want to go to that party?" She asked instead.

"I mean — yeah but if you don't then we don't have to. We can just stay in and watch movies or do other things, it doesn't bother me."

Kaden sighed, "No, no, you know what —it's fine let's go tonight."

"Are you sure?" I asked hesitantly. I had no problem staying home even if I did want to go.

"Yes, you guys are right. It's our last weeks in high school and we should enjoy and have some fun." She reassured me and I decided not to fight her on it and instead enjoy her sudden change of mind.

"We'll have fun Kade, don't worry."

"I'll be dumb not to worry, parties don't tend to end well."

I grabbed her hand — brought it to my lips and kissed it tenderly. "It's going to be fine, now let's go to class and be done with it for the day, ok?"

Kaden nodded and let me guide us into our class.

What are the odds that something could go wrong tonight.

"Took you long enough dumbass." Jason complained while looking back at me from the driver's seat with Norah by his side on the co-pilot's and Kaden in the back with me.

"Just drive asshole," I said and turned to Norah. "Hey Norah," I bumped fists with her and she chuckled.

"Hey Morgan," she replied.

I then turned to Kaden who was already looking at me with a small smile on her face and the same unreadable look on her eyes from this morning.

"Hi," she said quietly.

I leaned in and pecked her on the lips, "Are you sure you want to go? We can still bail out and sleep over at my house."

"Morgan, again, I'm fine. I want to go so knock it off I want us to enjoy the night."
