Morgan's POV
Today I'm supposed to go over to Jessie's to help her with her chemistry homework, this has been going on for three weeks now. I go every Thursday explain her the subject and we talk a bit, but mostly she asks about my 'relationship' with Kaden - which is going good, we don't kiss or any of that just are a bit touchy with the other, nothing overboard though we just have to live up to it since pretty much everyone knows about us.
Kade is still Kade, at first I thought she would back out of this with all the teasing from Jason but surprisingly it didn't seem to bother her.
Haley is also still Hayley, she hasn't got the football team to lock me again on my locker but she still does everything she can to try and make my life miserable. Like the other day she kicked my new robot prototype and passed it to Chase and he and the rest of the football team used it like a ball throwing it around for a good hour. She doesn't mess with me when Jessie is with her though or even when she's alone and I'm with Kaden. I think she's afraid of my best friend giving her another beating.
"Mom I'm going now!" I let her know as I reached the front door.
"Okay!" She replied from upstairs and taking that as a good enough answer I exited the house.
I walked to the house besides mine and knocked on the door that was quickly as usual answered by Jessie.
"Right on time," she said.
"Yeah there was no traffic today," I joked.
These days we've been spending together have made me able to actually talk to Jessie without sounding like an idiot. Which is a relief because I don't need to make myself look more like a dumbass than I usually do.
"Follow me," Jessie said walking up the stairs making me stop instantly.
"Uh, are we not working on the dining table?"
She turned and looked at me, "No I thought we could work on my bedroom today. But if you want we can stay down here."
"No! I mean no, it's fine let's go to your- uh, upstairs."
Jessie nodded and I continued following her towards her room. Of all the times I've been here we always stayed downstairs so I've never seen this part of her house before. There were four doors which one of them looked to be a bathroom and the other three I can only guess it's her parent's room and her little brother's.
We then entered her room which was the one further away from the rest. It was a normal size not too big or small, it had a twin sized bed, a desk at the side, one door leading to her own bathroom, her closet, some pictures of her friends on the wall and of course - the window that looked to my own room.
"You can sit on the bed while I get my notebook."
I nodded and sat awkwardly on the edge of the bed, just then I felt my phone vibrate and I mentally thanked god for that.

"Here we go." I heard Jessie said as she put the book on the bed and I locked my phone - leaving my disgusting friend's joke on read. "You were talking with Kaden?" She asked curiously.
"How did you know?"
"You were smiling at your phone so I just guessed since she's your girlfriend."
"Oh yeah she can be really sweet." I chuckled as I remembered what we were really texting about that probably was the opposite of what Jessie thought it was. She just nodded and opened her book.
We were at it with the homework for a good two hours, not talking about anything other than the subject at hand that or one of us said a small joke to light the mood every so often and that person being mostly me. The house was dead quiet when none of us spoke since at this time in the afternoon her parent's are at work and her brother at soccer practice.
"Okay I think that's it for today," Jessie said.
"I think we are good too," I started to pack my things.
"Hey Morgan?"
"Yeah?"
"Would you mind helping me again next week? It's just the finals are coming and I really don't want to fail chemistry."
"Sure I don't mind. Thursday as well?"
"Yeah, this is the one day of the week I get the house all to myself so I think is better cause we get no interruptions." She fiddled with the end of her sweater nervously.
"That's good for me, I'll see you tomorrow then?" I asked.
"Yeah yeah, see you tomorrow..."
I nodded and starting heading out of the room to go home but was stopped by Jessie calling my name again. "Yes?" I turned around to face her again.
"Chase is throwing a party at his house tomorrow so I wondered if you would like to go- you and Kaden too obviously, Jason too if he wants to."
Oh my god is Jessie Miller really inviting me to a party at Chase Malcolm's place?
I'm starting to think Jason's idea of fake dating Kaden to gain Jessie's attention may be a brilliant fucking idea after all because ever since she knew about she talks to almost every day. Even at school in front of others!
"Sure we'll be there!" I quickly replied.
"Cool, I'll see you there. Let me walk you to the door."
I nodded and followed back downstairs we said goodbye and I walked the really short path to my house.
Once I was inside my house I hurried up to my room and into my room. I put the blinds down remembering Jessie could see anything embarrassing I might do. I opened my chat with Kaden and texted her.
Kade
Are you still at Jason's?
Yes, why?
I'm on my way don't go!
