Morgan's POV
"Come on Jason help out your best friend!"
"Morgan I love you, you're my best friend but there is no way in hell that I'm lending you my truck." He said as he stopped swimming on his pool and rested his arm on the border.
I don't get how he is swimming with this weather, yes it had stopped snowing from some time now but it was still very chilly to go for a swim. But I guess Jason must be used to it, that and his pool has a heater.
"You're a bad friend Endo, I'm just trying to take Kaden out on a date and how am I supposed to pick her up on my bike? That's so lame."
"She's our best friend she knows you're lame."
"Well that's besides the point. Just lent me your car for today Jase please dude."
He sighed.
"You don't even know how to drive or have a license Morgan."
"You see that's where you are wrong." I reached for my back pocket and pullet out the small card and showed it to Jason.
"You know is illegal to have a fake license?"
"It's not a fake license you dumbass. I didn't tell you guys but I passed my driving test last week," I said proudly.
However Jason still looked at me like he didn't believe me, I didn't blame him for not believing me though since I've failed that test more times than I could say.
"If you don't believe me then come with me and test me yourself." The one reason I worked hard to get my license this past month was so I could take Kade out on a date. My parents won't lent me their car so my best friend is my last hope.
Jason seemed to be thinking about it before answering me. "Fine, let me go get changed and we'll see."
And so we did, Jason made me drive through almost all the town for two hours just to prove him that I had finally learnt how to drive.
Two hours.
He was being ridiculous, but after some more begging and promising him one or two favors Jason finally relented and let me borrow his car.
I had all planned for tonight to be perfect, after all it was supposed to be my first date with Kaden. I had asked her yesterday and she has been questioning me ever since where I was taking her but I wasn't about to break and tell her. It was a surprise, one that I hope she would like.
As I finished preparing myself for the date I glanced at the window of my neighbor's that faced my room and saw Jessie in there doing what it looked like to be homework. She must had felt my stare as she looked up from her book and caught my gaze, a pretty smile crept onto her lips and I found myself returning one.
When I saw Jessie stand up and walk towards her window and open it I did the same.
"Looking good Morgan, doing anything special tonight?" Jessie asked while leaning on her window.
"Yeah I'm taking Kaden out on a date."
"Oh," Jessie said with clear disappointment which confused me a bit, but she quickly reposed herself and smiled at me again. "Where are you taking her?"
"Can't say, it's a secret I'm afraid."
"Even to me?" She raised a brow.
"Even to you Jess."
I don't know where the nickname came from but it relieved me that Jessie seemed unbothered by it.
"Why not?"
