[People Are Strange]

The two adults sat in the police chief's truck outside of the lab that the Giorno boy ran away from, guards keeping watch around the perimeter to make sure anybody unauthorized got in or out of the place. Mela was almost shaking from how scared she was, scared for her son and if he'd be able to get out alive, but she was able to push it down when she remembered that Giorno said Narancia was waiting for her.

"H-How are we going to get in? They've got guards everywhere." The woman asked and the chief looked at her for moment before driving forward towards the entrance of the gate where a guard was sitting inside of the booth. Chief Kujo glared at the man on the other side of the glass as he rolled down his window to speak to him and, hopefully, make it inside the lab.

"Police Chief Jotaro Kujo, I'm here to speak with your boss." He informed and the armed guard rose a brow in suspicion, not having heard about someone who was supposed to meet with the head of the lab. Not only that, but the same person who broke in after finding out that the body of the boy Narancia Ghirga was a fake. "I wanted to talk to him about a girl that I found. If you don't want to do your job properly, I can easily drive through this gate."

The guard's eyes widened and he quickly nodded, pressing the button to open the gate and watching as the chief drove through into the parking lot of Hawkins National Laboratory. Mela was silent, not quite believing that it was so simple to get by the guard of such an important building. Jotaro had a small smirk on his face as he pulled into a parking spot that was far away enough for nobody to see from the building, the getting out and discreetly making their way to the lab.

They managed to get by the front desk and went down a series of halls that all looked the same, white and sterile looking like that of a hospital. It was confusing and the only way they were able to tell the difference between the ones they already came down was with the number of doors that they passed each time.

Mela followed behind the black haired man, hiding behind walls with him when a person would walk down the halls or leave a room. She hadn't been inside the laboratory before and she didn't think she ever would but now she was in it for the first time, looking for her son who was in the upside down version of their world that was dubbed the Upside Down by her son's friends. The woman ran into the back of Jotaro and stumbled, questioning him as she was pushed to go back down the other way and she soon realized why when she seen a man in a lab coat jogging down the hall towards them.

"Hey!" He yelled while pointing at them, his lab coat flaring out behind him as he picked up speed. "You're not supposed to be here!" Jotaro and Mela ran down the hall that they came from a few moments ago and continued to try and escape the scientist that found them, the female jumping when loud alarms blared. Jotaro pulled the worried mother down a hall but skidded to a halt when they were met with guards that were armed with guns and other weapons that would easily take them out.

A man stepped out from the group and frowned when he seen the chief, shaking his head and clicking his tongue. "Kujo, I thought I told you I never wanted to see you back here?" He remarked making Jotaro narrow his eyes and purse his lips, looking at the man who spoke to him yesterday when he was caught sneaking in.

"I don't give two shits about what you tell me, I'm trying to find a kid and I know you'll tell me how to find him, Brenner." Jotaro insisted and the doctor rose a brow, intrigued on why the man so confidently thought he'd tell him how to find the Ghirga boy and motioned for the guards to restrain the two, telling them to put the two in separate interrogation rooms.

Brenner watched Jotaro and Mela get handcuffed and dragged away to the closest room, the white haired man trying to think of reasons for the chief's beliefs. "I'll be with you in a moment, don't lose your train of thought until then!" He called as they disappeared behind the corner, his head turning to the last two guards beside him and sending them away.
