"I-I don't need a doctor, okay? I'm fine, it's just a black eye." (Y/n) argued with the kids as he got into the driver seat of the purple Camaro, holding in a hiss when he put his head against the headrest too hard. "I've had worse, believe it or not."

Trish shook her head at the older male before she scoffed, "Diavolo was trying to hurt you, if not kill you. You're bound to have a concussion or something." She insisted while the car was started and Fugo closed the door so that they could leave.

She knew what her brother could do, she's seen it at her old school and knew that he could put people in the hospital if he wanted to, but (Y/n) was acting like he barely got scratched. She didn't know if he was putting up an act or just being dumb but either one could lead him to having worse problems.

"We have to go to the hospital anyway, Narancia'll be there and we have to see if he's alright."

As soon as Narancia had awoken and confirmed that the Mind Flayer was gone from his subconscious, he was rushed to the hospital to get his burn treated and to make sure that nothing else was wrong. The feeling of relief and exhaustion took over their bodies as they finally got to rest in the same chairs they were in last year.

Bruno felt like he was brought back to the last time he was here, waiting for the right time to leave so that he didn't look like an ass but glad that he and his friends weren't killed as they sat in the uncomfortable seats. Except he watched a child be mentally and physically tortured by an inter-dimensional creature and had been the cause of one of his wounds.

Leone sat across from him with his eyes closed and jacket folded over his arms, his leg crossed over the other as he tried to get some sleep. As much as he wanted to ignore him for not telling him about (Y/n), he knew that he did it for a reason but whether that was only for Bruno was the real question.

He knew there was something wrong with the way he acted, there was no reason to get so worked up over him leaving. Bruno didn't blame him for it when he was stuck with his past-drunk friend who childishly spilt his drink on him and even now he doesn't blame him for sleeping with Diavolo. But Abbacchio was the most angry, blaming him for everything that he did and going as far as to push his only friend away from him and lash out for no reason.

Looking at it from the outside, he wanted to say that it was jealousy or possibly envy. Of what, he didn't know, but (Y/n) has so much that it could be anything.

"Abbacchio," Upon hearing his name, the older male's head tilted up and his eyes opened, finding Bruno's blue gaze settled on him. "Why? Why do it when you know it wasn't that big of a deal?"

His pale hands clenched into tight fists underneath his jacket and his throat went dry, despite knowing it would come up he still froze. He didn't know what to say, that he cut him off from (Y/n) because he slept with his replacement? That he ran off with him to Illinois to hopefully get a moment alone to figure him out and ended up sleeping with him as well? There was no winning in this situation but he never really won ever, did he.

Leone tried to look Bruno in the eyes when he spoke but he couldn't, not since they got back, and he could tell that he already figured that part out. "I don't know, I really don't, but I'm regretting it now." He answered quietly as he stared at the wall next to the dark haired teen's head, his chest tightening when he heard the other scoff under his breath.

He wanted to get up and leave, either the hospital or the town, just to escape from whatever was happening to him. He was acting as a wedge between two people who very much needed each other and it's been happening since he was found by them last year. He's thought of them as his friends but pushed them away because of his inner turmoil from last year, then he forced Bruno to stay away from his best friend because he wanted to protect him from something that was inevitable before doing the exact same thing.
