"BUNNY!" I shouted and opened my eyes. Abigail was sitting beside me on my bed in my room.
"What just happened?" I asked, my whole body was shaking. The moments I saw was vivid in my eyes.
"That was your last moments with Bunny and his parents." Abigail hugged me and patted my back.
"But didn't you made me forget them?" I asked and broke the hug. I wanted her to reply maintaining eye contact with me.
"If I can make you forget those moments, I can also make you remember them." She slightly smirked.
"Wow! after one year, I get to know this." I let out a small laugh.
"Now come on be a good girl." I smirked.
"What?" She raised a brow.
"Tell me all the things you've been hiding." I asked her indirectly, hoping she would tell me her story. I acted to be cool even though I was scared.
"You think I don't know your trick." She laughed.
"I won't fall for it." She added with a smirk on her face.
"I meant what happened after Bunny left." I changed the question, I had to protect myself from humiliation.
"You were crying continuously. I tried convincing you a lot but couldn't. You were so stubborn. You wanted to take the white flower from me. You wanted to disappear just like Bunny and his parents did. You were so raged. You were about to attack me, and that is why I had to make you forget everything, to calm you down." Abigail explained.
"What happened after that?" I asked, I wanted to know everything.
"After erasing that moments, you fainted. I expected that, you already went through a lot. You were weak. I took you with me because leaving you alone in the forest was risky. I wanted to drop you in your house but I didn't know where your house was. You won't remember those things because you were unconscious due to weakness. It took me a month to find out your house. After finding out your house I took you there and left you in the front door of your house. That is only when you were fully conscious. I had no idea that your parents were not there. You were happy after so long so I couldn't tell you the truth. So, I made myself invisible and stayed with you every single time. You know the rest." Abigail answered detailly.
"Thank you for being with me, for not leaving me alone in that forest and even in this house." I genuinely said what I felt.
"Say it again! I didn't hear you." She joked to kill the seriousness.
"Never mind! Anyway, I'm glad they went together." I was relieved.
"That doesn't matter. They won't recognize each other in afterlife." She gave me a shocking answer.
"What?" I was out of words.
"Yeah, they will lose all their memories of their past life once they reach to the afterlife." She explained.
"That means Bunny no longer remembers me." I felt so bad.
"Bunny might have already taken birth as another being. You never know. It's the cycle of life Luna. You don't need to feel bad." She tried consoling me and I nodded my head in understanding.
"What does that white flower mean?" I asked in curiosity.
"Take it as a pass to enter afterlife." She added.
"Why don't you take one and go to afterlife?" I asked.
"Not again!" She was now irritated.
"Okay fine." I gave her a cruel look.
Both of us were blankly staring at the wall. I was thinking about Bunny and Ellie. No idea what Abigail was thinking about.
"Oh god! I forgot something." Abigail broke the silence.
"What?" I turned to her.
"Go to the kitchen and see it yourself." She grinned.
I was hungry as she mentioned kitchen. I ran towards the kitchen because I knew she brought food. Abigail followed me. The dinning table was filled with my favorite foods, pizza, omelet, Oreo biscuits, strawberry, Mo: Mo, curd, Kati rolls, pastry. I was on the seventh cloud. I shifted my gaze from the dinning table to Abigail. She was happy seeing me happy. I'd love to visit 'the restaurant of souls' by myself one day.
"Are you just going to stare at them?" She sarcastically asked.
"They are my favorite." I said in a low voice.
"They are? I randomly brought those. Didn't know they were your favorites." She lied; she loves me so much but never expresses. She knew they were my favorites.
"Thank you." I said and sat down. Abigail sat in front of me and we enjoyed the food. I ate my favorite things after a year.
"Look at you enjoying the food, I still remember the first time I brought food for you. You were afraid that I added poisons in them." Abigail laughed talking about our past moments.
1 year ago:
"Have this apple." Abigail handed me an apple.
"Is this poisonous?" I asked without thinking anything. Abigail chocked when I said that.
"What? NO! Why'd I give you a poisonous thing to eat? Plus, you won't die eating poison." She started laughing.
"Random thoughts! Never mind! I'll eat." I said keeping my thoughts aside.
"Anyway, where did you get these?" I asked, taking a bite of the apple.
"There is a super market for souls to buy fruits and vegetables. And a restaurant too." Abigail sarcastically said, which I knew was a lie. I chose to believe her cause I really didn't care where the food came from.
"Luna?" Abigail brought me back to reality. I was thinking about the first time she gave me food.
"This pizza is poisonous." Abigail said in a serious tone.
"Very funny." I added and took a large bite of the pizza. The pizza tasted so similar, just the way dad used to make.
"Hey what's wrong?" Abigail asked noticing the tears in my eyes.
"I swear there is no poison in this." She added, she was now scared.
"Dad used to add these funny toppings in pizza." I said pointing towards the gummy bear used as a topping.
"Leave it. Let me try the Kati rolls." I changed the topic as Abigail looked sad and serious.
"Luna..." Abigail said. It looked as if she wanted to confess something.
But at the same time, we heard the main gate opening. I heard that sound after a year. Abigail and I looked at each other in wonder.
