I couldn't sleep last night. The things dad said hurt me so bad. I cried so badly, wondering what I did to my dad for him to hate me this much.
In the morning, I left home before mom woke up, nearly at 6 am. I had no energy to face them. I just wanted to be alone for some time. Then I remembered the place mom took me last night. I decided to go there and have some alone time. Mom said that place always embraced her and healed her.
The location was already set on my GPS. I started driving to that place. After 1 hour of driving, I reached there. The cold air made me shiver as I stepped out of the car. I went inside the car and wore my jacket. Half of the city was awake and half were still sleeping. I sat on the bench from the last night and took a sip of warm coffee which I bought on the way.
Mom was right, that place was a healer. I was so lost in the views that I forgot all my problems and frustrations for some time.
"Something came up! Won't be taking the classes today!" Ariana texted me, bringing me back to reality. I sighed as I saw her text. What was I supposed to do without her in college?
"Okay!" I texted her back and decided to leave for college even though it was a bit early. I wanted to avoid the fish market.
I stood up, even though I didn't want to leave that place. I came there with a heavy heart and I was leaving with a light heart.
I got inside the car and made my way to the college. After 45 minutes of drive I reached college. Because I was early, the view was different from the previous day. The parking lot which was fully packed on the previous day was nearly empty. I peacefully parked the car on the safe spot and decided to come college early every day.
"I'm in college! I already had breakfast. And I love you mom." I texted mom. I didn't want mom to panic, not seeing me in my room this early. And as she didn't reply to the text, I shoved my phone in my bag and checked if I kept all the books.
"Hey Ellie!" The senior from the previous day called me as I stepped out of my car. That rude guy was there too.
"Hey Prinsiya!" I greeted her; thank God I remembered her name.
"Hi Ellie!" That rude guy also greeted me, with a smile on his face.
"Hi..." I said, I didn't know his name.
A phone call interrupted us. It was Prinsiya's phone. She received the call, as we walked out of the parking.
"Fine! I'm coming!" Prinsiya said and ended the call.
"What happened?" The rude guy asked.
"I have to go and check the venues for the welcome party. My team needs me there." She replied, keeping her phone inside her bag.
"Need me to drive you there?" He asked.
"No, it might take whole day, just give me the keys." She said, forwarding her hand.
"Okay but don't forget to pick me up." He added, giving her the keys.
"I might not be able to! But I'll call you." She said.
"Bye guys!" She ran back to the parking, leaving me alone with that rude guy.
It was so awkward. I started walking just to avoid conversation with him. I really wanted to be alone.
"Ellie..." He called me, making me stop.
"Yes!" I turned to him, even though I didn't want to.
"Want to have some coffee? The class still got time." He asked.
