Author's Note:

Hello guys,

Let me take a moment and thank all of you guys for walking with me in my journey.

Tangled Ties is one year old. Yes, one year ago I uploaded the first chapter of Tangled Ties. I still remember the first draft that I wrote for Tangled Ties, how excited and scared I was. I was excited to start a new story and I was scared because of the WHAT'S IF in my mind. Still I decided to give it a go and here I am.

These 38-39 chapters were not possible without you guys. You guys trusted on me on my high and lows. You guys were excited for it, before I even uploaded the first chapter. You guys read it as soon as I added new chapters, voted on it, gave honest reviews which motivated me to write more.  You guys are the backbone of Tangled Ties.

Some of you read it from the day one, whereas someone joined in the middle, what matters is you guys are reading.

Thank You So Much for your valuable time and love.

Looking forward to have same love and support from you guys.

I decided to upload a new chapter on this special occasion, hehe Enjoy!

I love you all

Liam's POV:

"Why'd you care about my family? Please stay away from me! Neither I'm interest in being with you nor I want to answer your questions. So, please don't try to be friendly with me and mind your own business!" Ellie shouted, loud enough for everyone beside us to hear.

Saying that she walked away. People beside us were looking at us as if we just broke up. Her words directly reached my heart and kept on repeating in my mind. I was just trying to be friend with her and she misunderstood my feelings. I shouldn't have asked her those questions. But when Ellie said she was socially awkward, I felt like she was my Ellie. Even though she denied that we met before, my heart didn't believe her. I asked her about her parents just because I wanted to know if she was my Ellie.

I felt so guilty for asking her personal questions. I did something more stupid than the previous day. I had no guts to go to the classroom and face her. I was embarrassed. Without thinking anything I walked toward the basketball court as the class still got some time. I had to let out my frustrations. Some boys were playing there. I kept my bag on the bench and joined them.

After sometime the other boys left for class but I didn't. I didn't want to face her and hurt her anymore. I kept on playing. Physically I was playing basketball but mentally I was thinking of Ellie. After one hour I stopped. I was tired, both physically and mentally. But I decided what I wanted to do. I'll never talk with Ellie ever again!

I walked to the class, preparing myself to handle any situation. I entered the class and turned to the seat I sat before but it was already taken by others. I had to find an empty seat before the next class started. Then my eyes landed on the empty seat beside Ellie. Then I had an eye contact with Ellie. Before I made her angrier, I looked away. I sat on the empty chair on the first row and tried my best to focus on the class.

On the break time, I got P's text.

"The venue isn't decided yet. Won't be able to pick you up. So sorry! See you tomorrow." I read P's text and sighed. It's raining so heavily, how am I supposed to go home? Today's definitely not my day.

I wanted to go and apologize to Ellie but I had no guts. I didn't want to hurt her anymore by talking to her. Plus I decided not to talk to her.

I walked out of the class as soon as the last period ended. I didn't even turn back. I ran down to the ground floor just to avoid the crowd in the stairs. I took out my phone and tried to book a cab but it wasn't available at that moment. Then I saw Ellie coming down the stairs. I didn't want her to see me so I ran to the basketball court trying my best to protect my head from rain. But by the time I reached the court, I was completely wet as the rain was really heavy. I sat on the bench and kept my bag beside me. The roof protected me from the rain that fell from the sky but I couldn't protect my cheeks from the tears that fell from my eyes.
