Ellie's POV:

It's already 3 days, since that incident happened. Liam and I haven't talked with each other, neither in text, nor in person. We give each other a smile whenever we cross our paths but we don't stop to say hi... I don't know why, we just stopped talking. We have our lunch separately in the same canteen... neither he invites me, nor I do. It's just few times when we ate together but I kind of miss that. I miss eating with him, I miss being around him, I miss talking with him, I miss texting him, I miss him. But I can't change the fact that he has someone else who he wants...

Ariana tried her best to convince me to talk with him but why should I? I would just make fun of myself. Let him live his life and let me live mine.

So many things happened on those three days. Dad and we are having dinner together regularly, like a normal family we are sharing things with each other, we tell each other about how our day went, mom is happier than ever. I am finally seeing some sun rays in our dark world. I'm happy, things are getting better.

On the other hand, Ariana got a partner for the freshers. A cute guy of another section came to us while we were having lunch and asked Ariana if she wanted to pair up with him. Ariana said yes without even thinking twice. That girl amazed me! Two of them have been talking with each other from two days, they say they wants to win the title of Mr. and Miss Freshers, me being a good girl, I'm supporting them. And can you believe me, that guy have been having lunch with us since then. I feel like a third wheeler but there's nothing that I can do.

"Miss Ellie?" The professor brought me back to reality.

"Yes, professor!" I answered, not even knowing why he was calling me.

"Please read the third paragraph!" The professor said. I'm dead! I don't even know the page number! This is what happens when you are lost in thoughts in the classroom.

"Yes, sir!" I confidently said and stood up, hiding my fear.

"Here!" Ariana passed me her book, pointing to the third paragraph. This girl is my savior!

I smiled and started reading the third paragraph. The class ended after some time.

"Finally, it's the lunch break." Ariana said in an excited way.

"Yes..." I gave her a weak smile, canteen held so many good and bad memories.

"Hardin must be waiting, let's go." Ariana held my hand and pulled me with her. I can sense the excitement in her vouce.

My eyes landed in the last bench; Liam was busy on his phone... as always.

We ordered our lunch and sat on the table near the window.

"Hi girls!" Hardin joined us in few minutes, with a new guy behind him.

"Hi!" Ariana replied in a cute way making Hardin smile.

"This is my friend, Louis." Hardin turned to another guy.

"And she's my partner Ariana and she's Ellie." Hardin turned to Aariana and then to me.

"Hi!" Louis smiled and sat in front of us.

"Hello!" Ariana replied and I just smiled.

They started talking about their preparation for freshers, which was really boring! I was just focusing on my food, ignoring all of them.

"Ellie?" Hardin called me.

"Yeah!" I replied, finishing my food.

"You have to join us today!" He smiled.
