Without a word I went towards Oliver's house. His house was decorated so beautifully. Those twinkling lights, those flower garlands.
People were dancing, singing songs, eating. Oliver and Anuka were talking with different people. Oliver's smile was so bright but Anuka looked sad. Anuka was sad because she had to leave her home or for my death? Well, no idea! But with time she started laughing and having fun. I knew she was not sad for me.
I thought all my emotions died... why was I feeling bad?
Slowly the guest started going back, congratulating the newlywed couple for multiple times. And within an hour all the guest left. It was just Oliver's family.
"Why don't you guys go and rest? We all had a long day." Oliver's mom suggested.
Oliver and Anuka nodded.
"Take care of our little one!" Oliver's mom said, looking at Anuka's stomach. I nearly forgot Anuka was pregnant. That realization hit me hard!
Oliver and Anuka gave her a weak smile and went to their room. Watching them together hurt me more than I imagined but I just couldn't stand there and watch them go. I wanted to torture them so I followed them in their room.
The moments Oliver and I spent in his room were vivid in my eyes. Those memories were making me weak. Plus, I started feeling bad for the new life inside Anuka's womb. I didn't want to hurt her baby. A part of me wanted to torture them so badly and a part of me just wanted to let go!
As I died holding a grudge, the part of me which wanted to torture them won!
Oliver and Anuka locked the door and changed their dresses. With their every move I was getting angrier.
"Are you okay?" Oliver asked, turning to Anuka.
"I just feel bad." Anuka sighed, lying on the bed.
"I know how to make you feel good." Oliver grinned, getting on my nerves.
"I hope you remember our promise!" Anuka asked! What promise?
Without a word Oliver turned off the light and lied on the bed beside Anuka. I couldn't watch them. It's hard to see your love with someone else. And it's even harder to see your sister with a playboy.
As they were about to kiss, I grabbed a glass full of water and threw it on the floor. I couldn't see that happening right in front of my eyes. The glass broke down into pieces, splashing the water all over the floor.
Both Oliver and Anuka got startled. Oliver got out of the bed and turned on the light to see what happened. The carpet was all wet and the glass pieces were scattered all over the carpet. Anuka was looking at the floor in wonder.
"How did the glass fall down?" Anuka asked.
"Maybe, it's the wind!" Oliver said, he himself was confused.
"But..." Anuka tried to speak but Oliver cut her off.
"Leave it! I'll clean it." Oliver said and then started collecting the glass pieces from the floor. Anuka just watched him.
After 20 minutes, the floor was clean and properly dried.
"I'm tired!" Oliver stretched his body.
"Come here now!" Anuka called him with the warmest smile.
"Coming!" Oliver grinned and turned off the light.
