Chapter 50: She Likes Me

On the day of Prinsiya's party.

I am so excited. It's Prinsiya's graduation party today. It has only been a few months since I knew her but I already feel so proud of her. All of her hard work is finally paying off. She is a doctor now. I am so happy. And I can't lie, I am excited to meet Liam's parents too. We'll be meeting for the first time. I just hope everything will be okay.

And it's my birthday tomorrow. I don't know how to feel about it. I have never celebrated any birthdays before. Dad always stayed out on my birthdays. I don't know what will happen this year. Maybe I will get all the happiness this year. Maybe everything will be okay. I am scared to even hope. Let's just go with the flow.

"You aren't ready yet?" Mom walked inside my room.

"No mom." I gave her a weak smile.

"What happened?" She sat beside me.

"It's my birthday tomorrow and I am having mixed feelings about it." I tell her the truth.

"I know you had a very hard past but it's now replaced with happiness. Sorry to spoil but your boyfriend has planned a surprise for you." Mom blinked, bringing smile in my face.

"Seriously?" I asked. I was excited.

"Don't tell him that I told you. I just want you to be happy. Plus, I'm not telling you what the surprise is." Mom smirked.

"And congratulate Prinsiya on our behalf." Mom added.

"Okay mom. I'll get ready now. Liam will be picking me up soon." I said and she nodded.

I wore my black one piece, which I recently bought.

"Your in laws, are going to love their daughter in law." Mom laughed.

"Come on mom, we aren't married yet." I laughed with her, but I loved what she said.

"Are you done?" Liam texted me.

"You can pick me up in 5 pm." I said looking at the watch. I needed 30 more minutes to get ready.

"Okay, can't wait to see you darling." Liam replied, making me blush.

Then after 10 minutes, my sari was perfectly draped.

"Let me do your makeup." Mom said, making me sit. I nodded and she did my makeup and hair.

I was ready in 4:40 pm. I took all the gift for Prinsiya and wore the high heels.

"Baby I'm downstairs." Liam texted me.

"I'll be there in few minutes." I texted back.

"Bye mom." I hugged her.

"Have fun." Mom kissed on my cheeks and I left.

Liam smiled as he saw me. The smile that'd melt anyone's heart.

"You're looking so beautiful." He said, pulling me in a hug.

"Thank you." I giggled.

Then both of us got inside the car. I was both scared and excited.

"I hope everything will be okay." I said, looking at him.

"About?" He asked.

"Like, meeting your parents." I replied.

"Baby, you don't have to see them." He said, he sounded worried.

"That's not what I meant. Of course, I will meet them. They're my future in laws after all." I blinked. Liam just smiled, it looked like he was hiding something from me.
