Shay Kingsley
I grabbed my third cheeseburger and took a massive bite out of the middle of it, sending me into yet another moaning mess while I piled in a handful of fries along with it. The taste of McDonalds burgers was always the same; heavenly.
I looked up, feeling eyes on me, to see Dominic leaned forward in his chair with his chin resting in his hand and an amused smirk plastered on his face. My face flushed a bright red, embarrassed that he caught me shovelling food down my throat like there was no tomorrow.
"Wow, if only you could moan like that with me," his smirk grew wider while my blush got worse at his words.
"Shut up," I pouted lightly, casting my eyes back down to my food and taking smaller, slower bites.
"Is the rest of the bag for you as well then?" He chuckled, pointing a finger towards the bag filled with fresh food meant for my parents.
"Unfortunately, no," I sighed. "It's for my parents, they don't really like cooking so it's my job to do it for them, whatever I have, they have."
"Your parents suck."
"I know," I laughed. "But they're still my parents at the end of the day and I still love them."
"Have you never thought of running away?" He asked. "It must be tiring doing those things for your parents when they're the ones supposed to be doing them."
"No, I haven't. My dad can be a scary man and I'd prefer to not have him sending out search groups to hunt me down. He'd probably kill me if he ever caught me." I shrugged.
"Fucking hell."
I hmm'd in agreement before finishing off the rest of my food and sitting back in my chair, rubbing my stomach in both pain and fulfilment. I should really learn my limit for how much I eat. But will I?
No, probably not.
"Happy now?" Dominic asked.
"Very," I smiled. "Thanks for inviting me out Dominic."
"Call me Dom, only strangers call me my full name and last time I checked you're my mate and far from a stranger."
That made me stop to think.
I didn't know much about him and he doesn't know all that much about me either apart from the fact that I have shitty parents.
"What's wrong?"
I looked up from my staring contest with the table to find Dom's brown eyes staring at me with concern.
"Nothing," I sighed. "It's just, well, we kind of are strangers. I mean, we don't really know anything about each other and we've only recently met."
"Hmm," he stopped to think. "Okay, how about we get to know each other then. Favourite colour?"
"Grey, but a light grey, you?"
"Black."
"Well," I chuckled. "Aren't we a colourful duo?"
"Oh yeah," he snorted. "We make up the entire rainbow."
"Favourite food?" I asked.
"Pizza."
"Obviously," I smirked. "But the real question is, what type?"
"Pepperoni, obviously." He smirked.
"Not the best, not the worst, but pineapple on pizza is superior."
His face fell into a frown, giving me a long, hard stare that screamed 'what a weirdo.'
"Oh nooo..." he dragged out. "Moon Goddess, why give me a psychopath for a mate?"
