Our kiss was slow but passionate, the both of us putting all our emotions into it as our lips moved against each other perfectly. Although it felt like ages, it must've only been seconds that our lips were pressed against each other before we separated. His dark blue eyes bore into my own brown ones, his cheeks coated with a dark red tint.

"You should go," I stated. "I don't want your parents getting mad at you. If they ask where you were just tell them I gave you a job to do."

"Thank you," he smiled softly. "I really enjoyed today."

"Hopefully we can have more days like this," I offered.

"Definitely," he grinned. "I hope you don't mind but, uh, you're gonna need to hold on to the plushies."

"Sure," I chuckled. "Gives you another reason to come round."

"You're gonna be the death of me with your constant teasing," he rolled his eyes.

"Don't act like you don't like it," I smirked.

"They're terrible."

"No, you're just a buzzkill."

"Whatever," he laughed. "I'll see you soon then?"

"See you soon," I nodded.

He exited the car, closing the car door behind him and giving a small wave through the glass before making his way to his front door and disappearing behind the closing door.

I sighed, leaning my head on the steering wheel for a short while to think about everything that happened today. When I was finally ready, I lifted my head up and started the car towards my house which was only a short journey from Shay's.

After parking my car in the garage, I walked towards the front door with all of Shay's plushies in my arms. As I walked closer I was greeted with my parents waiting eagerly by the front door of the house with excited looks on their faces. I raised an eyebrow at them as I stepped up to the porch and stood before them.

"You need to tell us everything," my mother grinned and then pointed to the plushies in my arms. "Did he give you those?"

"No, I get them for him," I stated.

They both aww'ed at my response while I rolled my eyes and scoffed, heading inside and up to my room to organise all these plushies on my bed.

For Shay.

Not me.

"How's his infection?" My mum asked standing in the doorframe of my bedroom.

"It seems to be getting better," I shrugged. "We went on loads of rides at the funfair and he didn't seem to have any sign of pain or discomfort, or if he did he hid it really well."

"You went to the funfair?" My dad asked, joining my mother's side by the doorframe.

"Yes," I sighed irritatedly. "Why is that such a surprise?"

"It just doesn't seem like your type of place to go," my mum shrugged before excitedly adding on, "So, what else did you do?"

"We ate before that and talked a lot but that's pretty much it," I said.

"That's nice, when did you two find out you were mates?" my dad asked.

"The day we went over to the Kingsley's house," I explained. "So, around a week ago now."

"So when are we-"

"Mum, please," I sighed. "I'm tired and I don't really want to talk right now, so if you don't mind-"
