Dominic Sullivan

I couldn't understand how anyone could look at this boy and think of him as a disappointment. It was the last word I would ever describe him as. On first glance he looked like your typical jock type of guy in high school but when you speak to him, just once, you realise that he's almost the exact opposite.

And as much as I felt like a creep staring down at him while he slept, I couldn't take my eyes off him. Not even if I wanted to. This guy had such good curls it was baffling and straight haired girls all around the world were currently quaking.

His dark blue eyes were captivating but I couldn't help but worry at the dark circles under his eyes. It wouldn't surprise me if he had passed out from exhaustion.

I didn't want to look away. No matter how hard I could've tried, I wouldn't be able to get rid of my attraction towards him. Although, even if I somehow did manage to the mate bond would always pull my back. So, it was official.

I was a Shay-sexual.

I reached out a hand to stroke his curly locks and they were the softest things I had ever touched, I wished I could stroke them all day and night. I let a tiny smile replace my constant frowning face as I stared down at him in awe. He looked at peace for once in his sleep, like his troubles had finally left him even if it was only for a short while.

I've barely known him two days and he's already managed to lower my guard, that really says something about how strong the mate bond can be.

I retracted my hand, making my wolf Dallas whine from the loss of contact with our mate. I stood up from my king size bed and made my way out of the bedroom with my regular, stone-cold face and headed in search of Shay's parents. Although I wanted to listen to Shay's wishes of leaving his parents I knew I couldn't do that, I had to at least let them know of his condition.

I mean, surely he couldn't have meant what he said, right? Every parent worries for the child, no matter how old they are.

As I got descended the stairs to where the party was still being held, the loud noises of people gossiping away finally reached my ears. Never have I ever wanted to be back in my bedroom more in my life. Once I finally spotted Shay's parents, who seemed like they probably didn't even notice their son's disappearance, I walked over to them and cleared my throat which made them instantly turn around and bow.

"Alpha," they greeted in unison.

"Shay wasn't feeling well so he's resting right now, I don't think he's well enough to go home just yet so I'm keeping him overnight incase his condition get worse." I informed them.

"Oh dear," the mum, Lilith, gasped. "Thank you, Alpha, we appreciate your hospitality towards our son, I hope he won't be too much trouble."

"Quite the opposite actually," I said, narrowing my eyes down at her.

I looked back at the dad, who still had yet to say something, but he opted to looking around the room instead and sipping calmly on his champagne. How could you be so calm when you've been told your son isn't feeling well? At least the mum tried to fake it.

I left without another word, already feeling Dallas clawing to get to the surface and interrogate them. But I calmed him down, there would be no point in starting any sort of conflict with my mate's parents, especially when he was unconscious and didn't have a say in anything.

Before I could retreat back up to my room and watch over my mate my Beta, Jordan, approached me with a nervous look in his eyes.

"Dude! Where have you been? Your sister found her mate about half an hour ago and she's been drilling me asking about where you were. I told her you had to take a piss, but who takes a piss for thirty minutes?!" He exclaimed.

"Calm down," I rolled my eyes. "I'm here now and anyway you've known her for practically as long as I have, why are you freaking out so much?"

"You'll see," he whispered.

He turned on his heels and motioned me to follow him over to a small group of people where my sister and a tall guy beside her stood with their backs to us. As the group saw us emerging they said a few words to my sister and the mysterious guy beside her and walked away.

Trinity, my younger sister, turned around and let out a bright smile when she saw me, instantly melting my heart into two pieces. She's always been sweet and super caring towards anyone and everyone, no matter who it was, and I've always loved her dearly. She deserved this she deserved a mate, someone who could-

No. No fucking way.

I stopped dead in my tracks with wide eyes, I couldn't believe what I was seeing, what stood beside her. The one person I never wanted to see again after what he did - Jasper fucking Brooks.

He was once supposed to my Delta, my third in command, but that was soon forgotten when he decided to hospitalise me, rob my family of almost everything we had and then move to a pack which he knows we were close enemies with. The same bastard who was now stood staring me in the eye with zero mercy and a confident smirk.

I saw red. Dallas pushed to the surface and tried to claw his way through the the traitor I once proudly called a friend. Except we were already being held back by a pair of arms that knew this was going to happen.

"Dom! Dom, please, calm down," Trinity begged, stepping between me and her 'mate' since she knew I wouldn't do anything that could even potentially hurt her. "He's apologised, many times actually! Please, just give him another chance."

"Another chance?!" I bellowed, causing all the chatter to stop as my wolf pushed even further to the surface, almost taking full control. "This bastard robbed us and put me into a fucking coma! Are you seriously telling me to give him another chance?"

"Yes!" She glared. "Because like it or not, he's my other half and just because you don't have someone who can love you, doesn't mean you can ruin everyone else's chances of finding love!"

As soon as it escaped from her mouth, her eyes widened and her hands flew to her mouth, shaking her head profusely.

Yet another person against me, just what I needed. My own sister.

I gave my sister a disappointed look, sighing and taking full control over my body again while Jordan's arms dropped from behind me. I made eye contact with Jasper - who still had the same smug look on his face, like everything that was happening was going perfectly for him.

"If I see him anywhere near this pack I will beat him half to death so I suggest you both leave," I growled, turning on my heels and heading back up the stairs and into my room.
