"I'm sorry I accidentally slept over," I said once we were in the car and ready to head over to my house, which I was dreading because I knew my parents wouldn't be particularly happy. "I was only meant to rest until I got some of my energy back and then the plan was to leave."

"Do you really think I had a problem with you staying over?" Dominic chuckled, catching me off-guard. "I was actually happy that you stayed, you're adorable when you sleep, you know that right?"

"Shut up," I grumbled, facing my head towards the window so he wouldn't be able to see me blushing.

"And anyway," I looked over at him and saw the mischievous smirk on his face. "If you hadn't have stayed this morning wouldn't have happened and I'm sure I can speak for both of us when I say I enjoyed it."

"Asshole," I groaned, sliding down my seat and folding my arms over my chest with blazing red cheeks once again.

"On a serious note, I really hope you're not overworking yourself." He said with a serious tone.

"I'm not," I lied. "I just didn't really eat much yesterday and I've barely been sleeping these past few months so I guess it's just a side effect of being tired and not eating." I chuckled to get the mood up a little and make it less depressing.

It was a half lie, I was barely eating and sleeping and instead putting most of my energy into my work but I didn't have much of a choice honestly. My parents would kill me if I lost that job.

"How are you feeling now?" He asked, turning to me after shutting the car engine off as we arrived at my house.

"Better," I smiled. "I slept much better last night than I have in a good couple of years."

His eyes softened at that and after thanking him for dropping me off and telling him I wouldn't be too long I exited the car and reluctantly entered my house. It was quiet, too quiet. As I walked over to the stairs thinking I was in the clear and wouldn't have to speak to either of my parents, I internally groaned and stopped in my tracks as the familiar voice of my dad spoke up.

"You've gotten quite friendly with the Alpha, haven't you?" My dad silently observed with a suspiciously calm voice from the couch, with his back to me and a beer in one hand while watching the tv which faintly played.

I didn't know what to reply with and the more time that went by the more my heart began racing and the more I started sweating. What was I supposed to say? Oh, he just wanted to drop me off at work everyday out of the goodness of his heart cuz he wants to be friends? Or maybe hey, dad the new Alpha is my mate that's why he's constantly driving me around everywhere. Which is worse?

"Leave the boy alone, Phil," my mum came down the stairs sighing. "He's gonna be late for work if you interrogate him anymore he's the only source of income we have. We can talk about this when he comes home."

I silently thanked her while she just nodded and motioned for me to get ready. She didn't have to tell me twice as I ran upstairs to my bedroom and took a quick shower then dressed into my usual black jeans and white button up short sleeve blouse with my black tie, that I only wore on certain occasions.

Once done I ran out the house, seeing I only had about fifteen minutes or so to get there, and hopped into the familiar black car parked outside my house.

The ride was quiet as I was silently freaking out and trying to come up with an excuse on what to tell my parents with my relationship to the Alpha.

"What happened?" Dominic asked quietly.

"Hmm?"

"You're all tense and quiet so I'm guessing something happened with your parents or something."
