Luna woke up groggily, feeling the cold concrete beneath her and pounding headache before she realized Spider-Man stood above her, holding up a large piece of heavy metal and throwing it far off into the dark. Her eyes fluttered very slowly, but he didn't realize it yet.
"You're losing it, kid." A deep, manly, raspy voice sounded from above, atop a platform. Luna, her eyes still squinted, slowly turned her head in his direction.
"Thought you'd be able to see that coming a mile away." The voice continued sarcastically while Spider-Man breathed heavily.
"What is wrong with you?" Peter yelled. Luna's eyes, now fully open, watched him pace forward. "You could have killed us!" He emphasized.
"Excuse me?" The man scoffed.
Luna slowly sat up, taking in her dark surroundings. They appeared to be in some kind of large abandoned factory or warehouse. She still wore her suit and mask, which were beginning to feel very uncomfortable.
"You show up at my house unannounced, what do you think's gonna happen?" The man snapped back.
"Wait, this is your house?" Luna spoke finally, furrowing her eyebrows. Peter and the man averted their gaze in her direction as she sat on the floor. After a moment, she finally stood up. Instinctively, she reached to take off her mask, but was quickly discouraged by Peter.
"No, no. Don't, don't." Peter held up his hand and pointed at his own mask, which he made sure to keep on. He signalled between himself and the man who, for all Luna knew, was a threat.
"Who the hell is that?" The man standing on the platform interrogated.
"Who the hell are you?" Luna returned, crossing her arms. "Peter, do we need to beat his ass?"
"Oh, you wanna beat my ass, Buttercup?" The man scoffed, laughing to himself absurdly. "That's cute. That's really cute."
"Yeah, I'll show you cute, asshole." Luna flipped him off.
"Oooh fiesty. I'm scared." He replied sarcastically.
"Uh-uh..." Peter interjected. "She's, um...uh...You know." He turned back to face the man.
"No, I don't know. That's why I just asked you. What, she's some kind of superhero girlfriend of yours? Sidekick?" He rolled his eyes.
"I am not his sidekick," Luna argued.
"She's not my girlfriend. She's in danger, Frank," Peter explained.
"I am?" Luna wondered.
"Look, I need your help, okay?" Peter concluded.
"Yeah, looks like it."
"Well, come on. You owe me." Peter whined.
"Ah, for Christ's- aren't you sick of this story?" Frank sighed.
"Staten Island!" Peter shouted.
"Nah, Staten Island." Frank rolled his eyes.
"What more do you want me to do?" Peter extended his arms in frustration. "I literally saved your life!"
"You're out of your mind, kid!"
"What, I gotta save it twice to get a favour out of you?"
"That guy couldn't hit me with a handful of rice!"
"I mean, what does that sound like to you?"
Luna, beginning to remember that the pounding headache she had already woken up with was only getting worse as they continued to snap at each other, groaned, slapping her palm to her forehead. "God, shut up!" She complained.
