Kokichi was sitting in the waiting room when a nurse ran in.

"He's awake. The surgery was a success, he has a shattered arm and leg, a Broken rib and several glass shards in his body. We noticed an extensive amount of cuts on his wrist and some damage to his throat most likely because of choking. one of you may see him. He might get overwhelmed."

Kokichi beamed, tears slightly forming in his eyes but he pushed them down, "please, can i go?" Kokichi begged their dads "of course go ahead"

Shuichi woke up with machines all around him. Things plugged in everywhere; 2 casts and too many bandages. He wore a hospital gown and no expression

Seems i survived....bummer. I just wanted to see my beloved once more and finally rest. Guess that's wishful thinking yet again.

Shuichi laughed and Coughed at the same time

Once I'm free from here ill just die somewhere else. My beloved is probably gone anyway.

Who would stick around for someone like you?

"S-SHUICHI" kokichi shakingly ran in the room and stood next to shuichi on the verge of tears "kichi! Why are you still here?" Kokichi finally  burst "y-you idiot....im here because i care so tell that stupid voice to shut up because ill never leave you"kokichi sat next to Shuichi's bed amd wiped his tears. Shuichi was astonished..no one had ever stayed for him. No one ever cared..."a-alright...when am i allowed to leave? Maybe i can work some jobs and find an apartment i ju-" "your staying with us" "w-what? I-i i dont get it-" "my parents insisted. Please just let it happen? You deserve it" shuichi smiled and hesitantly nodded "hey kichi-chan...i uh..t-thank you" he smiled at the small boy as he sobbed and smiled back. As much as shuichi wanted to embrace the smaller person, as much as he wanted to hug him and never ever let go..he was broken. Both inside and out. The only strong feelings he had felt In years where the feelings he had for his beloved and now..there they were, crying on his hospital bed unable to hug each other unable to express what they felt for each other.

Because neither of them knew what these emotions were like..or how to express them.

Shuichi was never taught how feelings work and kokichi was too insecure and full of self hatred to believe anyone could ever love them.

Both boys smiled at each other and enjoyed the simple fact that they were both still here, and alive.
Because thats a big achievement.

Maybe the story seems over.
Maybe it seems to never end.

But be sure, there's more to tell.
