"I feel kinda bad for saihara-kun" maki and kaito were spending free period together "why is that maki-san?" "He's always hurt and oviously has some sort of physiological issue, on top of that he gets mercilessly bullied every day..." maki sighed "ouma seems to make him happy though" she placed her chin on her hand and smiled "yeah! Ouma seems happier with saihara too!" "ouma is a lot less shy around saihara, they're also very touchy...he's never like that with anyone"

"Alright kids! Pair up, we are doing ballroom dancing"
Shuichi's heart raced, he didnt know if anyone wanted to dance with him.
Maybe they're all still scared of me, what if I end up alone, wont that be sad? Damn it ill panick-
"S-saihara-chan would you like to be my p-partner?" Shuichi felt a wave relief crash over him, soon to be replaced by an overwhelming amount of good panic and fluttering in his stomach "of course!" kokichi's blush expanded to their entire as saihara grabbed his hand and lined up next to the other pairs.
"Ok select a lead first"
Kokichi looked up at shuichi "y-you're taller" ouma looked away still blushing causing shuichi to chuckle to himself "now lead, place a hand on your partners hip, other person put your hand on your lead's shoulder"
Shuichi looked down at kokichi hesitantly.
He more than anyone knew how terrible it felt to be touched where you don't want to be "i-is it ok if i do that ouma-chan?" kokichi looked at shuichi and smiled widely "t-thank you for a-asking saihara-chan! I trust you completely" Shuichi's cheeks grew a bright pink as he put a hand around his beloveds waist "now both of you put your hands up and hold them gently" shuichi softly cupped kokichi hand in his awaiting for further instructions "to dance lead starts with right foot forward then left, make a box motion as you move. Partners, follow the lead"
Kokichi was tense at first as they started dancing to no music whatsoever. He kept tripping up and missing steps.
Shuichi moved swiftly and elegantly guiding kokichi as they drifted along the hall "good, everyone gets it, ill play music. Its slow so take your time and enjoy yourselves" everyone in the hall stoped for a second before the music started
It was "I'm Making Believe" by The Ink Spots and ella FitzGerald
A wave of nostalgia hit shuichi. He just smiled and moved along to the soft music with kokichi in his arms.
For a few minutes it was like they were the only people in the world. Like nothing else mattered.
Every worry and fear melted away as the music played.
They swayed softly humming along, looking into each other's eyes.

Both boys smiled sweetly at each other, still mesmerised in each other's gaze.
"Alright! Its lunch time, everyone out" the teacher rudely interrupted the mood as he kicked the teens out the hall.
Kokichi and shuichi just walked out without a word both blushing and smiling like dorks.
