The bell finally rang signalling for the end of class. It was now lunch time.
Shuichi stood outside class talking to tsumugi and waited for ouma
"Soooooo how are you gonna do it?" Tsumugi squealed Shuichi blushed and looked at ouma who was getting his things ready and talking to the teacher about homework in class "i was going to go with them to the cherry tree we used to hang out in everyday and uh..i got him something..ahem- ill tell you later hes coming" shuichi quickly mumbled and looked at kokichi "hello my beloved!" "Hiya Bub!" Kokichi smiled sweetly standing infront of both blue haired kids, shuichi internally squealed and flushed red smiling at ouma while Tsumugi...tsumugi really didnt even try hide her squeal.
"Mugi-chan~ cmon cmon!" Angie called from down the hallway "oh- coming sweetheart! Bye guys~" tsumugi winked at shuichi and walked off to her girlfriend "a-are we sitting with the class or..?" Kokichi looked up at shuichi "oh actually if you dont mind could we eat by ourselves under the cherry tree?" Kokichi looked up at shuichi and nodded "alright! Lets go!" Shuichi cheared holding out his hand wich kokichi gladly took.

"S-so why eat alone today shu-chan?, n-not that I'm mind it's just we usually eat with the class and i um-" shuichi chuckled slightly "i get it kichi~ A-anyway i uh- actually i wanted to say something before the dance wich- god.. is next week I'm just now remembering, geez i already have a suit dont i-"
"Bub you're rambling again" kokichi giggled. Everything about that sentence made shuichis heart calm and race at the same time. Kokichi soft sweet giggle...Bub..his smile..

Shuichi took a deep breath and smiled looking at a full cherry blossom that fell by his hand. He picked it up and softly brushed the hair out of Kokichi's face tucking it and the flower behind their ear. He smiled and caressed the smaller boy's now red cheek with his thumb
"I-uh.." is all kokichi managed to say. They were lost in the moment, lost in shuichis eyes. The two held soft eye contact for a few seconds before shuichi spoke up again
"kichi um..see since around the start of our second year i wanted to be your friend..when i noticed you i felt drawn for some reason. Oviously my life was sh1t at that point i kinda just wanted a friend but since my reputation went down hill because of...i still dont really know..no one wanted to talk to me. Then you did talk to me. It made so unbelievably happy you dont even know. Then we became closer and i realised i didnt just want top be your friend. I wanted to protect you. Hug you. Keep you safe...i wanted more than friendship. What I'm trying to say is . . . i love you.. and um...i hoped someday you could consider being my partner if thats what you-"
"I love you too! I love you so much! You've given me a reason to get up. To come here! You've helped more than you could ever imagine!
I cant imagine going one day without you i really cant..i. Want more than friendship! I always did"
Kokichi and shuichi just stared for a a few minutes. Both in disbelief of what had just happened until shuichi shuffled closer and spoke up
"Can i?"
"Of course!"
Shuichi softly lifted kokichi's face pulling them close and connected their lips. Kokichi immediately kissed back moving his hands to shuichis neck pulling him closer. The world seemed to stop. It was just them and nothing else was relevant then. Just kokichi and shuichi.
The kiss lasted a minute before the pair broke for air and looked into each others eyes.
"I love you Bub"
"I love you sweetheart"
