Chapter 2 - Part 2 - Daily Life

Selina was the most shocked out of all of us. And Opal was the least "...correct Mr Cooper." She muttered. Everyone looked at her. "How did you.." Selina went to ask, but Opal answered before she could finish "Your sister was an acquaintance of Mr Brown. She had mentioned you before, so when you introduced yourself as Haucet I knew you were lying." 

I admired Opal for her smarts, but I was unsure how to feel about Selina. She lied about her identity and to make it worse she was related to Sarah. 

Milo was the first to ask questions "Well? Are you apart of the bitches plan?" He asked. 

Selina hesitated, then sighed "I suppose lying wouldn't do me any good. Yes, I was apart of the plan. But Sarah Blithers has abandoned me and kept me in this game following the same rules as all of you." She said. She saw our confusion and rolled her eyes "What I mean is, I was supposed to run the game along with Sarah, but she made me a member. I don't have any advantages. If I break rules, I'll die. If I kill somebody and get caught, I'll be executed. I have to follow the same rules as everyone else."

 "At least your loved one is alive."

The mutter had come from Phillip. He seemed annoyed at Selina for obvious reasons "Zoe died by execution... And it's all your damn sister's fault!" He snapped. 

Selina flinched at this "You idiot. If only you knew. You wouldn't blame me, you would blame Miss Jones. Or maybe even Mr Ular." I was confused on why I was getting blamed since Nathan was a victim, but perhaps Zoe had killed Nathan?

 "Anyways, my sister isn't even alive."

 Selina saying that confused me slightly. Was the AI really just an AI? Who knows. Selina sighed "Look, I'll make a deal with you all. If I get past the first half of the game alive, I'll tell you the truth behind Sarah's plan." 

Katherine raised her hand like a child wanting to ask a question and asked "How long is the... First half?" She sounded scared which was natural. "Traditionally, killing games have six trials. So, the third trial could be considered as a halfway mark. Therefore, the day after the third trial I'll reveal everything."

It sounded like a good deal and everyone else seemed to agree. But I could tell that Phillip was still annoyed. Ivy went to talk to him and I decided to as well. 

 "You ok?" I asked. He sighed "Yeah... I'm just confused. It says Zoe was a killer but I don't know why she'd kill..." He muttered. Ivy rolled her eyes "Y'know when you think about it, us people who's family members are victims are more likely to become killers." She mumbled. "How come?" I asked. "Well," she explained "If we happen to find out our families killers, we could want to kill their loved one. Like for example... Let's say it's found out that Zoe killed Nathan!"

 "But why would-"

 "It's an example science boy!"

Ivy regained her composure and continued "Anyways, as a way of avenging you're loved one, Nico would kill you." Her reasoning made sense, but we didn't know who killed who so it's basically impossible

At least that's what I thought

 "Everyone."

 A voice came from the speaker but it was different. It didn't sound like Sarah and it was a lot more stern unlike Sarah who had an energetic voice.

 "Gather in the main hall. You're next motive is here, along with a small surprise."

 Surprise..? What could that mean...

Selina suddenly seemed panicked. She most likely realised it wasn't Sarah speaking. She ran out first before anyone could say a thing. She was surprisingly fast and we had a hard time catching up to her.
