Prologue - Part 10 - Mystery and Melody

We walked into the room with Opal. It was large and there was the police stations symbol on the floor. There were five people in the room. We first approached a pair in the back. They were having a quiet conversation.

 "Can I really do that? I mean..."

 "Don't worry about it. It's not like he'll care."

 "Wow! Thanks D-"

 "Don't."

Milo groaned "Why is it always us who have to interrupt conversations!" He muttered aloud. "Eek!" The girl of the pair shrieked. She had rather short hair and was wearing a hoodie. "Its not an issue. We were just finishing." Said the boy. He was short and was wearing a hood. It had cat ears and he had what appeared to be make-up running down his face, like the kind of people in a boy bands.

I gave an awkward smile and said "Sorry about him... Um Nico! Nico Ular. My Ultimate talent is Herpetologist and... Um..." 

I was struggling to speak properly due to how the pair was looking at me. There faces were filled with pity. I didn't understand... But Milo interrupted "And I'm Milo... The Ultimate Arsonist. So what about you two?"

The girl smiled "Me first! I'm Selina Haucet, the Ultimate Dancer!" She announced. Milo raised a brow "Haucet? Wasn't that the second name of a kid from the Hope's History incident?" He asked. 

I was confused "Hope's History incident?" I asked. Milo gave a small chuckle "It was a killing game, the ones you claim not to exist. It was supposed to be a field trip for Ultimate students, but ended in misery." Selina and the boy seemed nervous at this. I was still confused "How come there wasn't a missing people's thing for that incident?" I asked. Selina sighed "Well... The museum got destroyed so everyone assumed that there were no survivors. But my brother Jamie Haucet did survive! And he told me to come here and help the others find their relatives!" She said, smiling

I looked at the small boy. He seemed lost in thought. "What about you?" I asked him. He hesitated, then replied "...I don't remember. Just call me Void. I don't have any memories of my talent either, so don't ask." 

Milo raised an eyebrow "Don't even remember your name? What sort of amnesia bullshit is this?" He said, mainly to himself

Void gave a nervous laugh "The serious kind... Heh..." He then looked at another pair "You should talk to those two. And the kid in the back. They're great people." 

I wasn't sure what to think of the request, but I nodded and me and Milo headed off towards the pair first
