Chapter 2 - Part 8 - Trial

We all gathered around the podiums and Mary sat in a chair behind where Daniel used to be. Now there was just a lone painting.

Mary Kimly:

 "Does everyone remember the rules of the trial?"

Anna Bones:

 "Yeeaahh... But I have a question! Can there be accomplices in these murders?"

Mary Kimly:

 "Of course. But these accomplices can't be the murderer. There can only be one murderer."

Nico Ular:

 "I beg to differ."

Mary Kimly:

 "Shut up Snake Freak."

Thomas Dean:

 "Well anyways, I would like to discuss alibis. I want everyone to share there alibi for when the lights went off."

Katherine Lisle:

 "Why don't you go first lover boy?!"

Thomas Dean:

 "...very well. I bumped into Opal. She can confirm this."

Opal Lockhart:

 "Mr Dean is correct. When the lights came on we had both fallen onto the floor."

Ivy Hills:

 "Does my pushing thing count as an alibi?"

 Milo Plains:

 "We'll discuss that later. Anyway, I was with Selina."

Selina Blithers: 

 "But... I was out cold during the black out..."

Milo Plains:

 "Oh shut up Blithers."

Nico Ular:

 "Joseph had grabbed onto my arm and kept a hold of it the entire time. Right Joseph?"

Joseph Gulls:

 "H-Huh? Oh, yeah."

Mathew Kimly:

 "I was standing with Katherine and Anna. They can both back me up!"

Katherine Lisle:

 "Yup! Tell em Anna!"

Anna Bones:

 "Yeah yeah, I was with em."

Lydia Jones:

 "Phillip was protecting me! He was like this super cool knight in shining armour!"

Phillip Cooper:

 "T-That's an exaggeration!"

 Lydia Jones:

 "Yeah I know, but you held my hand and made sure I was ok!"

Phillip Cooper:

 "Well... What are friends for?"

Thomas Dean:

 "Right. So the only people without airtight alibis are Brooke, Ivy and Milo."
