You and I

This has been one hell of a few days. My mother gets killed, Hanley's dad gets killed, Alex is Hanley's sister, Carson is mine and Ash's drug dealer and Hanley's brother. And now Hanley is awake. We told Hanley everything, from her dad to Alex being her sister. So much to take in. All the guys decided to go bring all of us some food. Somthing other than hospital, well except Calum. He didn't want to leave Hanley's side. 

"I'm so sorry about my d-" Hanley starts to say, but I cut her off.

"No, it's not your fault. He had it coming anyways. He is a bastard." I say.

"Agree! I'd drink on that." Hanley laughs.

"Question, hows you and Luke?" Hanley ask.

"What about Luke and I?" I ask.

"Don't act stupid Kayla." Calum says, "we all know you and Luke have a think going on." 

"No. He was just there for me during a tough time. You all were." I say.

"Except me, I was in a coma." Hanley adds.

"Yeah, except Hanley, but I don't think Luke and I have anything going on." I say.

"You will soon enough. Haven't you seen the way he looks at you?" Calum says.

"Can we please get off of the subject of Luke and I. Let's talk about you and Ashton." I say, smiling. I look over and see Calum stiffen up. He gives me a look, a look that if they killed, I'd be gone. 

"I think we're okay. I haven't talked to him in like 3 days. You know, coma and all." Hanley laughs. 

"He hardly left your side." Alex states. Hanley blushes.

"Really?" Hanley says.

"Really!" I say, grabbing her hands, "and he never stops talking about you." Her face gets even redder.

We all sit there for awhile and talk about little things, until 3, for some reason, loud boys burst through the door.

"WE HAVE FOOD!" Carson yells.

"Bro, keep it down, they can throw you all out of here." Hanley says.

"Sorry." Carson whispers. He hands me a bag of food and gives me a wink. 

"Hey, you're a married man. Don't flirt with my friends." Hanley says, taking the food from Carson.

"Hey, sorry you have a beautiful friend." Carson explains. 

Luke comes over and sits next to me, "Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?" Luke asks.

"Sure." I say, getting up and walking towards the door, with Luke behind me. 

We walked down the hallway to the spot where Ash and I stood the other day.

"What do you wanna talk about?" I ask.

"You and I." Luke says.

"What about you and I?" I ask very confused.

"I know I've been staying with you for a couple of days. You know taking care of you and all." He says, reaching and scratching behind his neck.

"Yeah, and I can' thank you enough for that. It means a lot. You could've stayed you Hanley, your best friend, but you decided to stay with me. I can thank you enough." I say. Yeah, maybe I do have some feelings for Luke, but I don't think I'm ready to date him or anything. I'm not ready for that, after what happened.

"You're welcome. You were hurting and you needed someone that cared for you to take care of you. I know you father would've, but he was going through so much too." Luke says. Lean over and hug Luke.

"You're amazing Luke." I say.

"No, you're amazing and I think I'm falling in love with you." Luke says. I pull away from him and Luke him dead in the eyes. Before I knew it, Luke's lips are on mine. At first, I'm shocked. I have no idea what to do, but then I realize what's going and push Luke away.

"What was that?!? " I ask, furiously.

"Wait what?" Luke asks, complete surprised by his own actions,

"Yo-you ki-kissed me." I say. Everything is spinning. I enjoyed the kiss. Boy did I enjoy that kiss, but I'm surprise. I just don't know what to do. I do the only thing I know how to do.

I run.

I run from Luke, I run past Hanley's door, Ashton's just now coming out of the door, I run past him.

"Kayla, where are you going?" I hear Ashton. I ignore him and keep going down the hall.

"KAYLA!" I hear Luke yell. I continue to run. 

"KAYLA! PLEASE STOP!" Luke yells. I run harder. 

I make it outside the hospital and out into the rain. I run to the only place I know that's close by,
