Am I Mad?

So Carson, Ash and I's supplier, is Hanley's brother? This is very unexpected. I look over to Ash, but Ash won't look at me. I cough.

"Carson, this is Ashton and Kayla." Calum says. Carson extends his hand to Ashton.

"Nice to meet you Ashton." He shakes Ashton's hand and then shakes mine and kisses the top of it. Just like her did when we first met. "Nice to meet you Kayla." He winks. 

I look over to Luke and he looks like he could Carson. I smile. "Nice to meet you Carson." 

Carson goes over to Luke and pats him on the back. It's a good thing Ashton got me some water before we came in here. 

"So Luke, still got that crush on my sister?" Carson asks. Calum and Ashton laugh and I choke on my water. Luke looks like a deer caught in headlights.

"Are you okay Kayla?" Luke asks. 

"Yeah, I'm fine." I say, after I recovered from my choking episode. 

Luke laughs then answers Carson's question, "No. It kinda faded, but I think Ash over here and her have something going on." I look over to Ash and his eyes go wide. Damn it Luke!

"Oh, really now." Carson says looking over to Ashton.

"Umm, we're t-talking, I-I think." Ashton stutters.

Shit, shit. I sit there and stare between Ashton and Carson. It's quite for awhile until Carson starts laughing. 

"Just messing with you. You seem like a good kid." Carson laughs and eventually everyone else starts laughing. 

"So Carson, what do you do for a living?" I ask. 

He looks surprise that I asked him that, but then recovers it, "I'm a marine. Married with a kid on the way." Bullshit. You're a drug supplier, single as fuck, cause you have girls with you every second of the day. God, I wish I could call him out on that.

"Well, your wife must be a very lucky woman." I say.

"Yeah." he stares at me. 

Carson and I just stare at each other for awhile, until a cough interrupts us out of our stare down. 

"So, Carson, whens Charles funeral?" Calum asks.

"We aren't really going to do a funeral. He was an asshole to my little sister and he doesn't deserve to have sympathy and he killed an innocent woman." Carson says. The mention of my mother sent tears to fill my eyes. I just remembered, it was Hanley's dad that killed my mom. 

"Kayla, are you alright?" Ashton asks me. 

"Oh yeah." I say, wipping a tear that I didn't know that fell. 

"What's wrong?" Carson asks.

Calum leans over and whispers in his ear. "Oh." he says then looks over to me, "I'm so sorry."

"It's okay." I say.

"Can I talk to you Kayla?" Ashton asks me, getting up and heading towards the door. I follow out right behind him. We walk down the hallway a bit, until he speaks up.

"Carson is Hanley's brother," He says, leaning against the wall.

"I'm just as shocked as you." I say, leaning on the wall beside him. "What are you going to do?" 

He looks over to me, "What do you mean?"

"Well, as you said in there, you're talking to Hanley, his sister. Are you still going to talk to her?" I ask. 

"Yes, fuck him. I'm his best seller, do you really think he'll fire me because I'm dating his sister?" He asks me.

"You never know Ashton. He may hold it against you. Make you do things you don't want to do." I say. 

"I know. I'll just do them. For Hanley." he says. "What are you going to do?" 

"What do you mean?" It's my turn. 

"Are you going to be mad at Hanley?" he asks. 

Am I going to be mad? No, it's not her fault that her dad is stupid enough to drive while he is drunk. 

"No. It's not Hanley's fault that her dad is an idoit." I say. 

We hear a door open and Carson is walking over to us. I look at Ashton.

"So you're talking to my sister?" He asks Ashton and then pushes Ashton against the wall. "I swear to god, if you lay a fucking hand on her, I'll kill you. You do anything to hurt her, I'll make sure you never live to see the next day." he says, letting go of Ashton. "We don't tell any of them about what we do. Agree?" Ashton and I nod.

"Good." He smiles and shakes Ashton's hand and kisses me on the cheek. "It was lovely to meet you guys. I have to go cheak on the wife." He down the hallway, just as Luke is walking towards us. If the drug supplier doesn't work out, he could always go into acting. 

He walks past Luke and pats him on the back. I look around the corner and see Alex. She comes walking up to us.

"Is she okay?" She asks.

"She's in a coma." I tell her. 

"Oh god." she says.

Luke, Ashton, Alex, and I stand in the hallway and talk for awhile until we see a panic Calum, running from Hanley's room.

"PLEASE HELP! WE NEED A DOCTOR! SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH HER! PLEASE HELP! HURRY PLEASE!!"
